Congratulations! Such a beautiful color and goes very nice with Tartufo I’m really digging the look of the MPE and probably looks even better in person. Would’ve been nice to have CCB on the build

Did you have to pay a premium on top of the sticker price?

Well I guess I need to take a step back and re-evaluate what I have done with my life since I can’t afford this car! Lol

No need to ask what your favorite color is OP

I am more intrigued by why would you own over $200k in cars (M3 + X3M) but appear to rent an apartment (or maybe just parked there for the shots?)?

I get the inflation discussion but unless a persons wages have risen in pace with inflation (and I’m sure some have), then the M3, housing, etc. is ‘more expensive’. Higher interest rates just makes this worse.

This is partially why I bought a used (2022, 17 month old, 1300 miles, CPO, maintenance package, ppf) at a bit below original MSRP as I was able to avoid a decent amount of MSRP inflation.

CAGR on that M3 inflation: 2.6%. And you could avoid it completely by purchasing a base manual with no options. Or like you said, buy CPO (more luck with an M4).

If your wages/salary isn’t increasing at least 3% each year, consider a job change. And look for a career path with equity (restricted stock grants, options).

We need to steer this conversation back to the car, eh? I mean, it’s not a $300k GT3 or a $140k CS.

Comment on inflation, give career advice (well, maybe not advice) then suggest we talk about the car? Ok.

OP Beautiful car. Have fun!

Color is beautiful, but at $119k I’m going M3CS, especially since you can buy at no ADM rn and when you eventually sell it, you’re ahead. 🤷‍♂️

That's a whole lot of miles & awesome to know that it's been reliable the whole way. My good friends & service advisor at my local BMW dealership said there's a guy in TX that daily drives his X3 M in TX. And he often drives out to California for his construction business (if my memory serves me right). So the guy goes through tires / brakes pads + fuel / oil changes fairly often. But other then that, it's a stout platform that's pretty bullet proof. Glad you're enjoying yours as it was meant to be. Unlike my garage queen X3 MC with 4k on clock. Guess I need to get it out of its bubble & garage queen status. And actually start enjoying it more. Thank you for unintentionally motivating me to simply put more miles on mine. Like a regular person might. LOL

I really loved the looks of the G80 platform and once they released the Xdrive version I knew eventually I would have one. The past two years have been spent poking around online trying to find the perfect one and I eventually settled on wanting a Techno Violet G80. As they are few and far between the search extended longer than I wanted.

Fast forward to last week, I brought my X3MC in to the dealer to get the window replaced and I couldn't believe my eyes of what I saw sitting on the showpad out front. Some crazy blue M3. When I got out to look at it I saw it had the Tartufo interior and I was sold. The color is Blue Bay Lagoon. The next day, I returned my loaner car, and left with my new M3

Apparently this was a custom build for a customer out in Colorado and they backed out. The car got sold to a dealer in Dallas so it would move faster. I'm at a loss for words on just how lucky I feel randomly finding this, as besides for the MPE exhaust, it's exactly how I would have spec'd a custom build out myself. At a whopping $115k sticker price, it has almost every option you could select. The full leather interior is not something I would have selected on my own as I was unaware it came with a leather dash and upper doors, however, this will always be an option on my cars moving forward after seeing how stunning it is. The Blue Bay Lagoon is such an incredible color. At night it looks teal, in overcast it looks LSB, and in the sun it resembles Atlantis.

I just got the car tinted and within the next month it will get a full PPF, M performance HAS suspension, wheel spacers, and either powder coat the current wheels bronze, or pickup a gold set of the 827M wheels. Patiently waiting to get through this break-in period so I can really play with her, but could be a while as this won't be my DD. Happy to be back in an M3 and look forward to seeing some of you all around at shows! Enjoy
Represent D/FW. Very nice.

M3 CS is nice, it’s just missing a lot of the creature comforts in an attempt to save 5 pounds. I need my front parking camera. It keeps me from tearing off my $2,700 front lip. You think you’d want it more with a CS because the front lip is like $5,000, but, I also enjoy the self driving in traffic.
