https://www.autoblog.com/amp/2021/02...ual-take-rate/ Also, didn't Audi just successfully bring back the RS6 last year? I think many people are underestimating how popular a wagon m3 would be here, especially if it had a manual option.

The M4 GTS is a good example, even if not exactly the same case study. BMW didn't keep the lights on with its sales, but do you think anybody who bought one cared? Of course not. It showed that BMW cared about a small group of its enthusiasts. It wasn't a car I was even remotely interested in, but I appreciate that they made and sold it. An M wagon would be a similarly awesome gesture. A small run of 50-100 here would be perfect. Keep it exclusive, just for wagon fans. Not to mention, Audi, Porsche, And Volvo are still bringing performance wagons to the US, and so was MB until recently, although they aren't bringing E63 sedans here either because of supply line shortages. Short of that, we'd probably still have E63 wagons for sale here.

The perfect setup would be an AWD with manual. I'd trade my M4 in immediately. It would be amazing.

I'm still not warming up to the nose of the G8x's but I'd gladly sell my F31 to get one of these if it ever came stateside! I could get passed the looks simply because it will be a badass all-rounder.

The only way anyone is going to get close to this in the USA is by building it yourself like David did.

I was seriously considering a VW Golf Sportwagen or Alltrack since you can get 6MT + 4MOTION + wagon + IS38 turbo swap and have yourself one of the best all-round vehicles money can buy! Especially for the ~$30,000 they cost in the current market. But I agree that wagons are a niche in the states and are severely underappreciated for what they offer. If only we didn't have an SUV/crossover addiction! |

i think unfortunately theres 0% chance theyd offer awd + manual since they dont do it on the g80/82. We can dream tho and while i want to say id buy one thats probably the only configuration id actually be interested in -- normally i hate on awd but this would be the ultimate car to take skiing

Yes, I am going to talk about the grill. Patience please.
I don't like it and hasn't grown on me either. But G8x is a blast to drive, which I totally agree. That is a tough spot to be for people like me who don't like the design but love how the car drives! But on this wagon, the grill is PERFECT!!!!! It matches the shape and size of a wagon. IMO, BMW should have launched the wagon first with these new grills and it might have eased the change fatigue for most people who don't/ didn't like it. Looking forward to seeing this in flesh and taking it for a spin. |

I would like to be driving something more fun than an SUV on road trips as they often go to places with twisty roads. I currently have a G21 330i and have a deposit down for the first G81 allocation my dealer gets. |

Can. Someone explain Why is M3 touring so late? I dont understand this. 3 series is due to Facelift . Another 3 years and the New model will come. This means that the lifespan of the M3 touring will be 3 years, maybe 4

I'm not a car engineer but why they have to test this car in the arctic again? The M3 and M4 are already tested in the arctic and the 3-series touring too.
BRING IT ON, NOW!!! |
