As Requested Here you go- you tube links attached- All in the bright California Sun - No Filters used- Captured with S22 Ultra - Its really hard to capture the Lights brightness and intensity - Unless you have a really good camera or know how to play with the ISO, Shutter Speed and all that. Enjoy
Hey, one question, hawaiiracer!
Did you have to code the European blinker to have the inner DRLs stay on when blinkers are on?

Thank you for the update. The anticipation is killing me especially after seeing the installed pics!!!!
Really hoping to get mine by next week!

Nice! I like that!
So even when we have the DRL colors set to OEM white, the inner DRL will NOT turn off when blinker or hazard lights are turned on?

Apparently, it's the latter.

Just my luck as I was going to get the LED replacement my headlight messes up. Filled with condensation for 3 days now. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow.

On a positive note I did get the thermal glue.

From the video it looks like the heat sinks have a rubber gasket/seal. Running the wires through it seems like it's breaking that seal. I would be worried about water/moisture getting in.

Is it possible I can set the color and then disconnect all the wires?

Appreciate you making the video for testing water leak!

Can I set the color once then remove all the cables? I don't see myself changing colors that much once set.

Just watched your video again. On the top heat sink where we tucked the original board out of the way while connected, it was originally connected to a heat sink. Will that board burn out overtime with no heatsink?

I'm guessing if we disconnect it it'll throw an error.

These two are very valid concerns IMO.
I'm worried about the long term reliability of these LED boards AND the stock one that's tucked away.

Thank you for the input.
Please understand my concern, because the installation is not what I initially expected - with wires pinched between the housing and heatsink, and with the OEM board tucked away.
I was under the impression that this was just a simply LED board swap.
These changes introduce risks that were not taken into account when the light assembly was engineered.
Your months of use isn't enough to fully simulate real lifetime usage.

That said, I'm sure the main LED low beams generate MUCH more heat than the DRLs, so I could be overreacting.
Just saying we can't know for sure what kind of long-term reliability issues we might run into without seeing real test data.
I guess time will tell.

Are you saying you're offering a 3-year warranty on these LED kits?

I would go for the CSL Yellow lights since that's an LED board swap. That's the only color that's legal anyways.

After rewatching that video, I have to agree that I'm not sure about the whole "tucking away the OEM boards". They are attached to a heat sink for a reason and now we are instead just keeping them attached and tucking them away while also stuffing another one in there?

So Ive watched the install video. No mention of this thermal glue some of you are talking about. What am I missing here?

Thanks.

You can do that but you also lose rear light DRL function

Agree completely. Noway i would risk to have oem boards burned out without the heatsink.
Suggest to have additional heatsinks for them while tucked away in there.
Or better yet need a dummy / simulator board to plug in to bypass error.

Which epoxy or thermal paste did you end up using?

How long did it take you to do the install?

I used the 8329tff
Take 5-6 min to dry and take about 2 hour to install everything!

Oof, 5-6hrs to dry? Guess I've been forgetting about that part of it all.

I don't even have a jack, jack stands, or a torque wrench.

My initial plan was to get a floor jack and a torque wrench for this install but didn't think about needing jack stands as well in order to be able to do both sides so that I'm not waiting an entire day for the drying time alone. 🤦🏻
