Your initial statement that I responded to was unclear and I have explained why. Both as a direct comparison (to your latest point about the GT3 being the more desirable car, which again to be clear was the thing you took exception to - remember where you said “I never said that people can’t like different things”) and also to the real point i.e why would you pay $100,000 extra for a car? which I agree with by the way. The only logical explanations for the latter would be that the car isn’t available for $140,000 for whatever reason or maybe money laundering?

The car is cool.
It was best said by someone else, and I never really thought of it, but the car isn’t for people like me who still care about budgets and buy one car at a time.

It’s for people who don’t give a damn about budgets and have a stable of cars.

And I can’t fault that.
My thinking is as a relatively normal human who would only buy one $250k car every 10yr lol.

Totally agree. I’d barely call my car collection a stable. I literally have 2 cars. A family one and a fun one. Fun one can’t be too fun because I’d barely get to use it, so the CSL is a compromise (albeit a very good one). Family one has to be a bit fun or you end up doing loads of soul-destroying miles.

Money no object I would have a real stable though! And it would have lots of different cars in it, not just high end sports cars or only BMWs. 😉
