IMO, if you want the buckets, you get the buckets and don’t settle when you’re talking that kind of money. If that means you wait for a ‘24, I’d wait but I don’t think it’s going to come to that.

We’ll this is the first time I have talked to my dealer since the seats got back in stock, sounds like they just started to allow orders for the buckets again over the last couple days. Originally they were just telling me they couldn’t get them because they were out of stock and they even showed me the messaging from BMW. But I agree man, I’m spending $100,000 on a car and I am not someone who just has a ton of money to burn like that, this is my dream car and I want it specked out the way they offer it on their website and the way I ordered it

I hear you. I was going to commit to a bucket-less build (despite me really wanting them). I wasn’t sure when they’d come back in stock plus this car will be my daily driver, so I already started talking myself out of the buckets. Did I really need them? Maybe it’s meant to be that I get the comfort seats, etc., plus I’d save money that I could invest elsewhere, etc.

Then, I talked it over with my brother. He was like “You’re dropping that much money and it’s not the way you want it? Nope.” lol

So I passed on the Week 26 build…12 hours later I had another dealer who I was on a waitlist call me with a MY24 allocation. They knew I wanted the buckets and said “Take ours and we’ll make sure we get you buckets.” I asked for proof of the build sheet with buckets and they delivered. I was like “Yes, please!” lol

If they can’t figure it out, I’d tell them the buckets are a dealbreaker and if they can’t change it, you’ll wait for another allocation with them or another dealer. I jumped on multiple waitlists to keep my options open.

Yeah dude that’s exactly where my mind was. I was thinking that the buckets just weren’t meant to be just like you. And like you said, I was trying to talk myself out of them because it’s going to be my daily driver too. Thanks man.

If you’re Week 26, unless something changes, you’ll be MY23.

It sounds like you already did, but MyGarage should also confirm MY.

Yes it’s when it will be complete but sometimes looking at other threads it will run over that date. Most of time it will be done by then.
