I think his use of the word impossible was in regards to pricing...

Its so damn annoying and I just found a GT3 with a mega build, to your point, by the dealer at 229k plus ADM.

FML
I attempted to order a 718 Spyder. There is no one ahead of me on the list, but after their boat fire I gave up hope of ever getting one. So got lucky and picked up on allocation for a g83. The Porsche dealership actually showed me all the allocations they had received. The bad 3 Spyder allocation in 2021 but all in the first half of the year. They have gotten 0 since. They think they may get a few allocations at the end of 3rd quarter 4th quarter this year. All being said I think the g83 will be a better fit for me. Like the luxury and the multiple personalities it has. Though I still think the Spyder is way better looking.

I wonder if the boat has sailed for getting a pure ICE 911 at reasonable price for good now? I was thinking of getting one last really special ICE and a 911 was top of the list but I refuse paying 50-200% over msrp…

Anyone checked if F cars are similarly over priced these days? Might be time to ask the dealer to be put on the M4 CSL list, maybe chances could be best there to not be flogged

P cars are freaking stupid pricing right now with factory and parts issues. My very busy local store wont have a GTS allocation until Jan of 2023 and I just dont see many unsold units on the ground in the USA. GT3's are around but at 100k ADM and its just not a worthy move even with money being relative.

F cars are hot too--- they always have been relatively market strong sans the FF and few choice others.

I tell all my friends with nice cars that are somewhat hot to very in nature; dont get in an accident.

It does stiffen the dampers from 3-100% with all the sensors that Ben mentioned above. Stock Normal is 20% firmer, Sport is 80% firmer. With the DSC controller, Normal and Sport are active from 3-100%. Tom from DSC Sport told me that his module made the Porsche suspension adaptive like in the G80. If we have a chance to meet, you can ride in my car and feel the smooth ride

Correction
Response from Tom

DSC Normal mode is an active operating range from 3% to 100% stiffness.
DSC Sport mode is an active operating range from 20% to 100% stiffness with increased sensitivity to stiffen up to the driver's inputs.
The harder you drive the more g-force is produced the stiffer the suspension becomes in real time.
The rennlist post you saw is outdated. All new controller starting from 2020 come with GTx file.

Allocations are so slim and Porsche has even told dealers they should be asking for all the money on all the cars given there are so few being made.
If you've got a GT car, they're worth their weight in gold. I am glad I got my 718 GT4 before this crazy stuff started.

Yeah I asked our CA about it when I had our Cayenne in for service last time. She told me to just wait a year or two because it’s crazy to buy one now. I’m just not sure if it’s going to get any better before the pure ICEs are gone.

Oh stop it, its a face only an owner could love LOLOLOL

Its actually highly formidable and unique vs the mundane front fascia of most other sports cars including 992 base models.

Thank you!

Not that you need my endorsement!

You are one of very few on the forum BMW Porsche persons "in my opinion" that does not come off arrogant given the cars you've had/have.

100% genuine enthusiasm without the arrogance.

I applaud you!

That color looks absolutely amazing. Great job capturing the color.

I appreciate this--- it is hard via text to display collaborative desires and share ownership experiences without sometimes rubbing someone the wrong way. I do try to incorporate all views and thoughts vs being guilty of confirmation bias.

I truly just try to speak from factual ownership vs blind opinions. Life has been good and Ive been fortunate to own some amazing cars. This forum is, in whole, very positive with just a choice few who love to dictate their opines without even having the car in question.

You should see the flack I catch at times for owning a Tesla (Plaid)

LOL.

I sure did get it knowing very well that it has no sound, possibly quality issues and according to most "no soul". Its a hyper fast car and I really got it for the sheer street and express way speeds.

I actually find the tech inside to be incredible with OTA updates constantly and large screens etc. The brakes are weak only due to physics of weight and power but they are fine because I understand the car and wont be an idiot on the street (no tracking- makes no sense). I am enjoying it for sure and I personally find the car to be eye catching.

Since this is my thread Ill post it here LOL

ehhh its ok

If you are just driving the streets its fine but if you are not used to hand over hand U turns and such, it takes a little while to get used to it.

That's what I'm talking about right there 🍻

A real opinion about the car.

Not hiding any disappointment given how much the car cost.

That's what I noticed; genuine content.

No smoke and mirrors.

It's a fantastic car; the unique steering wheel is a small penalty for exclusivity.

Still impressive car!

Nahhhh…

I spend a lot of time with wife and son in the car.

Not enough disposable income to have a $150K+ Porsche 992 S.

2022 G80 6MT on the way.

My fun Toy is the Adventure bike; 2022 R1250GS 40th Anniversary.

In the warm months I'm on the bike. I'm way more passionate about the bike. Wife and I have a lot of trips planned for the bike. She likes to go on trips on the bike so it's fantastic.

I'll get the most use out of M3 for family outings.

Absolutely blown away by the R1250 GS AMAZING!!!!! I have all the aluminum cases, Navigation etc. everything!

Grew up on dirt bikes, then race bikes, now adventure bike.

I had race bikes for many years; taken them on the track. I'm definitely more skilled on a Race bike. I've logged over 100K+ street and track miles. Buddy of mine had a 2021 992 S put 7,000 miles on it and sold it. Beautiful car but no desire to own one.

I think the 911 is fantastic and phenomenal but not something I'm passionate about.

Lol; I had no idea this was a dedicated Porsche thread 😆

Ha well you love what you love

One thing about bimmerpost is they allow alot of robust non BMW dialogue in the Versus section. The Versus section for the F/10/F90 M5 was pretty cool too and I posted quite a few reviews on cars that were not M- there.
