The back of this car looks really good. The sloping roof line looks like the M6.

Car looks nice and slim from the back.
Best choices for me Toronto red and Tanzanite blue.

Worst are Black sapphire and Alpine white. Mineral white would have been a different story.

But all in all good color palette.

In Spain they would call this camaron "shrimp". Delicious body but hideous face.

Isle of Man Green would be my choice. Of course I want to see the actual production color. Dravit Grey is my second choice. Also I personally like the front of car and think it will be a hit once revealed.

So the front end will be hideous. Will it still sound like a lawnmower????

It's good to see the conversions and conformity.

Bummed no silver choice. Wanted it on my 18 and it was gone at the time. Resale/residue has to be lower for that highlighter yellow I’d think. Not into either of the blues, guess it’s another grey car for me.

Oh and one more thing, which I’ll get flamed for; I’m really not getting why so many people are banging on about the X3M, but then again I don’t like SUVs in general.

I’m sure the people that buy them (or X5/6M) like it very much, but why have a hulking great thing carrying extra weight with a high centre of gravity and then waste a good engine on it? What exactly is the point of it, is it 4-wheel drive or supposed extra room? Sorry, but get a proper M car or not at all...
I have long felt the same way as you on the M SUVs, but I have started to come around to it. Some people simply have livestyles that fit more with an SUV and want to have it be sporty as well. And the bmw SUVs are designed to drive with great handling. I prefer smaller cars myself but I can see the appeal

As appealing as Portimao Blue might be, San Marino Blue remains THE shade of blue colors. It would be a loss to see the new M3/4 without SMB exterior color choice.

Wouldn't mind a grey color either, but even the one offered grey color actually isn't a proper grey because theres a yellow/beige tone in Dravit Grey, which I'm not a fan of. I like the color in dark surroundings, but not so under brighter lighting.

Love M cars, have kids, like to mountain bike. I'm on my sixth M3/4, excited about the G82, but seriously thinking about switching to X5 M, maybe X3 M. Plus, current and last gen of X5 Ms will generally outrun F82 from a stop in real world.

Because manufacturers have made so much money on their CUV/SUV cars over the years that they've put a tremendous amount of refinement into them. They're actually crazy good these days. And this comes from someone who always hated them, and generally preferred hatchbacks and wagons. Even sedans didn't do it for me. BMW was the first company that got me to drive one in fact. Still miss my e90...

But the first time I drove a Macan GTS, against my instincts, I was blown away. Bought one for my wife and she hates these things more than me. Even she was convinced. Same goes for the X3M. I didn't want to like it either, but after driving a friend's, I was again blown away. The whole higher center of gravity/more weight argument is true (you can't change physics), but holy crap, they've really done an amazing job minimizing those two factors, and for a lot of folks who need a little extra utility or vertical load space, it's a perfect trade-off. The X3M is now actually on the short list to replace my F80 next year, believe it or not. It's just that good. But if they hadn't ruined the front end, I'd probably still be looking at getting a G80

uh huh. Know you guys are 10 steps ahead, just be sure to crack that whole performance braking system deal this time around (6 generations later). And don't forget to include provisions for camber upwards of -2.

Today I’m really really liking that IOM green!

SCOTT26 can you shed any light at all on weather the optional carbon seats will be available with colours other than black leather?

Imagine those badboys in golden brown in IOM green
