The dealer I approached for a My22 allocation was Durham and they gave me the highest trade value for my prev car and a healthy discount over MSRP (just under 5%), right off the bat. Told me delivery will likely be fall 2021 and will work hard to get me a commission number a.s.a.p. However they warned me of possible deletions of certain features and delay of delivery due to shortage of chips and other parts, they told me they had a 2021 G80 coming in sometime in July/Aug but too bad it's a M3C (8AT) and for me 6MT is on top of my list so I passed.

The other dealer was Toronto and they actually had a white base in stock, it was almost sold but the deal fell through and the car was still available and they let me test drove it.

After weighing both options (order and wait, or get a base AW) I chose the later, didn't have all the options I wanted and not as generous a discount obviously as there're no more 2021 6MT G80 in the country at the time I believe; so only around 2% off MSRP and a set of winter mats

It doesn't, surprisingly. Its actually the Penultimate Package, because you still need to shell out for the trim, upgraded brakes, etc. I'm doing the trim, but not the brakes (and I refuse to pay for a different brake calliper paint, so good thing I like blue).

Is anyone else experiencing massive delay in Canada? Ordered car March 5th. Still not at dealer. Apparently ‘sitting’ in Halifax port waiting for parts. G80 manual frozen silver.

I'll let you know… car is at Bremerhaven waiting to get on a ship… hopefully the one leaving for Halifax on August 6. Up to this point haven't experienced unusual delays.
Not sure if I have a stop sale on the car but will update as I get additional information. G80 AWD

Ordered May 8th and build week is supposed to be wk 35….but I'm not holding my breath. Hoping to have it by the end of Nov. I'll settle for a deal on winter tires/rims and or PPF (looking for 3rd party GTA recommendations).

Demand is high enough that you'd probably be waiting for an allocation and delivery next year.

Negotiation will vary by region. I talked to a few dealerships in AB and BC, all were seeing lots of demand and had no flat % discounts off MSRP to offer.

Got update on car today:
M3 manual frozen gray ordered March 5th. It has been sitting in Halifax for 2.5 weeks. Needs parts - dealer believes it’s a recall on the backup camera and waiting for parts to be installed at port before shipping to Toronto. No estimated time for delivery. Ugh

just checked with my SA today and I have a production number and production month shown in the screenshot that she sent me. No VIN yet. I don't see anything that mentions the build week; is that inferred by digits in the production number? It starts with 9026xxx and production month says 09 (sept)

Got my own update this week! Car is in production already, Status 150 this week. I wasn't expecting production until next month.

FWIW, the delay for my Individual order was production bumped out a month (July -> August).

I don't think so. My production number started with a 9 and I was a July Build.
