They are also releasing a Stage 2 controller that requires the heat exchanger but not sending the ECU out. It will make less power than the ECU stage 2.

Has anyone seen dyno and/or draggy numbers on their controller?
Seems like the easiest way to go if you’re just trying to add 50-70hp
Plus no concerns about software updates

Correct. No other person/ company is what it seems like, even close to having an unlock. There is much speculation about how Femto has the ability to unlock it but that is not a discussion for here lol.

Great stock numbers! 503 to the crank--wink wink. With 12% driveline loss, 560 + to the crank! After driving a C7 since 2017, first time I drove the M4C back in '21, I knew the 503 was a joke. Now, with the AWE Track making it sound like it should, 550+ on tap--as well as the typical BMW quality in interior materials and workmanship, makes the buying of this once again the right choice. 100+ more hp is tempting...Thanks for sharing!

I agree 100%! BMW's always punch above their weight class. I should have my car back next week. Can't wait

Also, a controller would not remove the top speed limiter like the full ECU tune does.

I finally received the written estimate... it's actually $600 to upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2. I must have misheard the quote over the phone.

So, if you're going from Stage 1 Controller to Stage 2 Software it is a total of $850.

That’s awesome they’re close to you. I picked my car up earlier today and plan on doing some Dragy runs as soon as the rain stops

Nice vid!

I'll hopefully be dropping my car off at Bimmer Speed in San Diego in the next couple of days to go from the Stage 1 Controller to Stage 2 Software w/HE. Just got off the phone with Carbahn and they should be shipping everything today.

Thanks! 😉 Great to hear. I can’t say enough good things about the Carbahn Stage 2 package. It’s a night and day difference in performance.

With your stage 1 controller, was it noticeable difference in performance, being that we only have 91 here in San Diego? I never see dyno or dragy info for the 91 octane folks.

Yes, it was noticeable. No dragy results and only the butt-dyno to go by though. Going from Stage 1 Controller to Stage 2 Software should be night and day though.

Even though we only have 91, I do an approximate E27 mix (3.5 gals of E85/12.1 gals of 91, estimated octane rating of 94.1 per: https://www.morepowertuning.com/emix) and use map 5. I confirmed with Carbahn that this is acceptable.

Thanks for the reply and info. Part of me really didn’t want to go back to blending fuels & checking ethanol content to get the proper mix (I’ve done it on past vehicles,) but I also understand you have to pay to play a little bit.

Any reason you aren’t blending more ethanol to run the 100 octane map?
