They're correct. PCD for any vehicles not built in Spartanburg (so basically any sedans/non-SUVs) have been unavailable since Sept 1. There's no concrete date they're set to resume, but they mentioned sometime in January a couple months ago.

I would bank on PCD not being available for you.

My SA just said he thinks it's a permanent change. Disappointing.

Signs point to a permanent change. Also of note, effective January 1, 2024--hotel is NOT included with your delivery experience.

Reservations for PCD just resumed, but still only for Spartanburg built vehicles.

That's disappointing. Looks like they might have been overwhelmed with the requests in the recent years.

Once their schedule eases out, they should at least consider including M vehicles produced outside Spartanburg.

PCD on 12/18 for my M240i. 12/19 is the last day this year for PCD. No factory tour at the moment, restarting next year. But no more free hotel night next year.

That’s a bummer. I’m stuck in Brunswick at the moment. Hoping I get a call any day to schedule my PCD before they shut down for the holidays.

Do you know whether the folks that have already signed up for PCD (but awaiting a delivery date) will be grandfathered in for the free hotel?

Not sure what's going to happen as the bulletin didn't address that

Is the corporate code at least being offered for PCD hotel booking?

Can a PC customer choose any hotel in the GSP area then after 01/01/2024?

Is airport transportation axed from GSP?

Once no included hotel hits the masses, the crowds should thin out.

PCD is going to happen for me, my order was in September sometime and due to that they said they would make room for me. They also gave me a $200 gift card to use at the PC Gift Shop due to me having to pay for the hotel out of pocket. I was just happy they are going to let me do the PCD 😎

Damn, hopefully I have similar luck. I haven't booked anything yet but should be taking delivery in the next week or two. Bought an M3Cx so no PCD, but I do get the New Owner Track Day.

Speaking of that, anyone here know if the New Owner Track Day is basically the same experience as PCD minus the delivery? I did PCD for my current M340i so I'm familiar with what you do in that day.

Time Frame

Good afternoon... Just curious if anyone knows. I ordered an X3 m340, with PCD. Today the status just changed to "Dispatched from the Factory" Any ideas about how soon I will know when I will be scheduled for delivery? Just trying to figure out so I can give a heads up at the office.

Thanks!!

They're literally across the street from each other, so you should see it "At the Dealership" either Monday or Tuesday. But the PCDs are at least 2-3 weeks out, so expect a February date.

(Also it's an M40i, not a 340)

I'm scheduled for New Owner's Track Day in May...and from what I understood from the booking rep, it is similar to the paid BMW Performance Driving Experience....2 hours time between the track and off-road segment.

Does the guest get the full driving experience? They’re not simply a passenger, correct? Just trying to confirm before bringing someone. Thanks

any update for g80 doing PCD recently? Website says it may have other openings in 2024 for other vehicles? I have family in GSP so it would be nice to do the delivery.

I called my SA, they said online info is old it can be done now, but the hotel is on me.

Performance Center Deliveries have resumed for the non-SC built cars! Contact your Client Advisor (CA) to arrange this for you. (SA is BMW acronym for Service Advisor). Hotel is no longer included, but there a lot of nice hotels in the area in all price ranges.

I haven’t really considered PCD. Is it worth it? Anything special about it making the trip worth it? I assume you drive home from there. Is this option possible if you plan to trade a car with the dealer?

This is my opinion only - but absolutely worth it if you can make it happen. I did it two years ago, and remember specifically saying these words to a friend "It's worth ordering a new car every year only for this experience"

Of course, I was biased and subjective, and loaded with adrenaline and dopamine. Many people don't have the privilege or the blessing of being able to order a new car, let alone a special one like many here do.

I flew into Spartanburg, took a short cab ride to the hotel the night before my delivery and barely slept from excitement about the events next day. Took delivery of the car, dropped it off for ppf and spent the evening in Greeneville walking around and exploring.

It was not only a great BMW experience, but also a great opportunity for quality time with a friend that went with me. We were both able to escape from the hustle of everyday work & commitments, and have 2-3 days of a different pace in a different place. In the end, we packed up and drove a cool car across the smokies and back home. A
