When trying to flash XHP, this adapter is not supported for "first time" flash. So I borrowed my friends MHD Orange adapter (smaller style adapter, you can also use THOR or XHP adapter).

Once the XHP software is installed onto the TCU, you can use any WiFi ENET adapter - for example I can now use my generic ENET WiFi adapter to flash a different XHP map or settings and it works fine and is very quick, about 15 seconds to flash XHP map or a new BM3 map.

It is confusing why for first time flash you have to use a smaller style adapter (MHD orange, THOR, XHP) but it may be because of the hardware supporting different communication protocols? The first time flash is more involved and takes about 3/4 minutes as it takes a backup of your stock firmware and flashes an entire new firmware. Once this is done, flashing a XHP map is just a case of uploading some configuration onto the TCU so it is much quicker. I guess they did it this way because the smaller style adapters are more reliable or have been tested properly?

In any case, if you have a friend with the smaller adapter, maybe you can borrow it to do the XHP flash, and just get a generic ENET WiFi adapter or a MHD Black adapter which will then work for everything

Do you know if the MHD orange adapter will work for ECU tune. I ended up buying the BHD black for the TCU tune and returned it because it wasn't compatible. I do not want to buy another Wifi dongle for a ECU tune if I can just use the MHD orange.

I am not sure, never used the MHD orange for ECU tuning so can't say for sure.

I do know the MHD black one is much faster than the old MHD orange adapter. It takes about 15 sec to flash a new BM3 or MHD map with the black adapter

You’re able to flash bm3 maps using that MHD agent? I thought it was MHD only

No BM3 maps are flashed using Bootmod3 agent, but the MHD Black adapter works for both BM3 and MHD - after all it is just a generic ENET over WiFi dongle so works with Bimmercode as well, and any other apps that support ENET over LAN connections

Any one running map 3 after the latest update. I just flashed my car with map 3 and I love it. Feels like a whole new car. I feel like my car pulls faster too.

How do the shifts feel in terms of feedback? Do you feel a strong kick when shifting up and down in S3 or is it smooth?

Can you post videos of you shifting? Did it get rid of the delay during WOT at redline?

Here a new raw video of me using the paddle. Excuse my goofy laughing later. This motorcycle tried to test me. In the video you can see how each shift it knocks me back.

You running the Stage 3 map mate? I like it but I can't help but feel it's a little TOO brutal on upshifts. This is my first experience of Xhp though, so maybe this is normal etc

do you have to reflash every time you adjust an option in the "setting" menu or only when you change the stage

Yes this is stage 3 and I love how it knocks me back each shift but am not sure long term as how reliable the tranny will do. I'm considering going down to stage 2 and keep stage 3 for spirited driving and track sessions. If anyone else can chime in on how reliable this is please do.

I did reach out to them a couple of weeks back and asked if there were any longevity issues with regards to running Stage 3 and also running throttle blips 25% above what the map sets them as. Below is the response from Clemens.

Would you not assume it was actually better for the trans since it's running higher clamping pressures and not allowing for a great deal of clutch slip, hence the sharper and less smooth gear changes in Sports modes?
