Forgive me; M3 6MT vs Tesla Model 3
I took the bait…
Minding my business a Tesla Model 3 creeps up behind me. On 5 lane sweeping hwy passed me kinda close on driver side. Tesla all tinted out; no tints on my M3 de-baged 100% stock. Sport + I roll into in 5Th and catch up pretty quick. He jumps left I jump right down shift to 3rd He was actually next to me for a split second… Bye bye he/it was trying… just pulled away then he gave up. I don't condone Mexico business and I'm usually very good about not engaging; but I hate cocky tinted windowed Tesla… |

I was at the light with one (a 3 with the dual motor) we both went for it and I "beat him". He was an older gentleman and at the next light rolled down his window telling me nice car, one of the few he knows that can beat him lol

0-60 in 3.1 or 3.2 for the Tesla Model 3.
Unless you’ve got xDrive or lots of dough in mods in your M3/4 you won’t win the typical spontaneous urban/suburban drag race. Totally agree that the Model 3 loses steam around 90-100. And it does look like refrigerator. In some ways I will miss my Model 3. For instance, with all wheel drive it is fun to drive 365 days a year. But I am jonesing for an M4 xDrive. In line for an allocation.

Good thing you were on the highway.
Any tesla besides plaids and even some of the "older Pxx" teslas have terrible top end. Had you run into any tesla from a stop, then they'll be saying bye bye to you til about 70 or 80. In which case he can let off and claim victory. I love my model 3. It's always fun to put performance cars in their place during my commute. I don't even try on the highway though. At least not until i get my plaid
