So you'll want to fix that. It creates negative air pressure that enables air to pass through the oil cooler. Dealer parts dept should be able to help you

Best bet is to stop in to your local dealer's parts department and have them pull up the schematic. I have no idea what BMW will call the exact piece but with the schematic up youll be able to point out exactly what parts you need. I know some companies are working on a cover for the oil cooler. I will definetely be going with one just based on the cooler location.

So only 1 bmw had the part and it's on the west coast and sold a few days ago so my local bmw has to order and I should have 2-3 weeks

Also seemed like another g80 driver had the same issue

Badly paved roads and scrapped the bottom
He got the last under shield part in the county

So dealer has to order from Germany
