Another KW HAS on M3C AWD

Dropped my M3 Competition M xDrive using KW HAS yesterday.

The front is almost at max drop and I love it that way. The rear is a little too low for my taste so I expect to raise it a little when I go for alignment. Ride quality is great and to be honest I didn't even notice a difference vs. stock driving it back home.

First pic is "Before", the rest are "After".

Update 12/2: I raised the rear all the way up. Added two pics to end of this post. Level ground. Looks much better now and that's exactly what I'm looking for but I'm surprised that's the highest you can go on KW HAS

Looks good but I agree on the rear being too low--- and thats on PS4's which have less protruding sidewall than the Pirellis.

Its a simple fix as you know you still want to put a few hundred miles on before the alignment. Raise it first, then let the parts settle and then align... dont align and raise.

My plan is to drive it about 200 miles to allow the springs to settle a bit, and then go adjust the rear height and do alignment at the same time. I don't think I need to put on miles after I raise it and before alignment. Is there a reason to do that? I mean I can drive around the shop like a mile or two after raising it to make sure everything's good before alignment.

Maybe so as the geometry is not being changed via the arms or detached dampers. But why not first adjust it to what you want just in case it settles down a bit?

Thats what I would do and have done when Ive lowered cars where the tech went too high or low- get it to the proper height you want, then settle it via miles and align.

YMMV

Side note- my local alignment shop which vin scans, could not get the specs yet on the 2022 G80. But that was a week or so ago.

Looks great in the front. I agree about the rear being way too low. Can I ask what shop you used?

The shop is 1 hour away so I'd rather not do the trip twice. They told me no additional settling happens when adjusted after the initial settling. Maybe I'll just drive it a couple of miles around the shop area before alignment to feel more comfortable.

Just wondering how much is that drop at the rear? I will get the delivery of my car tomorrow and most likely install the HAS some time next week.

It looks so gangster and ruins the beauty of a high-end sports car for me. To me it’s no different than if you put it on those giant tires that have hubcaps that spin. Then even some of you guys lower your car so much that you don’t have a prayer of even running over a small chunk of tire on the highway safely. You are definitely going to destroy your front spoiler when you have it that low. It’s absolutely just a matter of time. None of this makes any sense to me. I understand and get spacers to bring the wheels out a little. The factory puts them in because of regulations and laws to prevent rock chips from what I understand. So spacers I get. It definitely makes the car look better so long as it doesn’t stick out . But lowering your car so you can’t see 2 inches of the tires and so the spoiler is literally 2 inches off the ground just makes zero sense to me. It looks goofy and you’re going to damage your car. IMHO

I'm guessing maybe 1 inch / 25mm? I didn't take measurements

Rear too low, but you already know that. Otherwise, nice! Just get that rear end up a bit to avoid all that tire tuck and you'll be set.

To each there own I guess. I don't see this as a high end sports car either. Mid range cost at best. Some people like it and some don't. Whatever make them happy.

From the factory the rear is lower than the front (i.e. smaller tire to fender gap). I'll raise the rear a little but might keep it slightly lower than the front.

This is mentioned several times in the MSS installation instructions. Does the G80 and G82 have a negative rake from the factory?

I had the same issue after dropping. We had to adjust twice to raise the rear.

This is after raising rear
