Eibach Pro springs installed

Hi all
Just thought I would share as I wanted to go for an OEM looking drops since the roads in my area are not ideal. I know HAS would have been a better option but I had no plans on doing any adjustments.
The drop is 20mm front and rear. Spacers are 12 front and 10 rear.
Had to erase company name from the background who did the install. Didn't want this to look like an ad.

Looks good! This is the kind of drop I'm after.
How's the ride quality?
Could you maybe share a few more side pics with better lighting?

Thanks!

Hi. Will post pics after I pick her up as had to drop off for light failure warning.
Regarding the ride quality, I honestly can't tell the difference at all bearing in mind that I got the car on launch in March. The height is perfect for me, just what I wanted. I was told just after the install that there still was minimal rubbing even after shaving off a bit of plastic. Damn p zeros. But I haven't noticed it yet even with full lock.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised that there's any rubbing issue with that modest of a drop.

I think this stance is how it should've come from the factory.
Stock M4 stance is way too high IMO.

I think the rubbing is mostly caused by the spacers when on Pirellis. From what I heard (read) it only happens at full lock when reversing.

Yea, I don't believe a drop will cause rubbing (esp this modest of a drop).

I have Pirellis and went 10mm spacers up front. No rub that I've heard yet...

Ah, that makes sense. I missed the part where OP said he had spacers installed.

Oh, nice. This may be what I need. I've been looking at the AST springs, but, I think they may just be too low, for me. The AST drop looks great, but not practical, really, for me. These are perfect.

Limegrntaln I had my ASTs installed yesterday along with 10/12 MS spacers. Obviously its only been a day, but I've gone up and down my driveway (not steep), over speed bumps, reversed in full lock, and pulled out of a relatively steep gas station and haven't had an issue.

No rub in full lock reverse. No scrape going over speed bumps or pulling out of the gas station, etc.

Not to say I won't ever have an issue, but many of my concerns were gone in the first 24 hours.

YMMV.

Truth, those would be all of my main concerns. And I haven't driven a lowered car in 20 years. I think my 1999 GSX was the last car I had that was lowered. And that was in 1999.

Ride quality was also a concern, but I haven't seen anyone say that their ride quality was even affected. The AST cars, definitely look good, lowered.

Agreed. My last lowered car was over 20 years ago…a 2000 Honda Civic I had in high school. No noticeable change in ride quality. Feels stock to me. I love it. When I look at pics before the drop, I can’t imagine how I ever contemplated leaving it that height. I’m not one to mod, but the G8X needs a drop!

I need to start looking around, for places that install them, in my local area. Thats going to be a contributing factor, is is really worth it to pay $600-$700 to get a $400 set of springs installed? California prices are ridiculous for everything.

Irony but there are two members up north that literally drove down to Ben at RG Sport because of his great service and pricing. Obviously it didnt make sense from a monetary point (the fuel costs still exceed the upcharge) but they got to have fun doing it as well.

Ben is probably 300-400 max on X drive.

I actually considered that, as well. Just driving down to SoCal to get it done. $400 would be ok. $600-$800 I'm not cool with. That just doesn't make sense, unless it comes with an alignment. And I'd probably want them to settle before I put it on a rack.

Some more pics.
Apologies for my fingers covering part of the camera. Was holding a coffee in my other hand.

I am sure the lighting is still not great but its the damn english weather.

I am sure the car looks like it could lower at least another 10mm and doesnt give a modified look, but i was going for a more oem looking stance which the springs does perfectly. Drives like it did before the springs.

Now needs a midpipe and axle back and i will call it a day.

Looks great! This is how it should’ve come from the factory. If it did, I wouldn’t have lowered mine. Looks like it should be stock.
