Very nice thank you for the video. The drive by clips on the highway were awesome! I'll be doing this mod for sure.

The only issue ive had was with the jb4 i had some soft codes while running e30 on aggressive maps related to manifold pressures. No cel. According to Terry they will fix it, its on their end on the jb4 programming. For now running bmc filters and stock airboxes but the intakes completely ruined me. I cant fucking wait to run them again. These transform the car IMO

PS the car's performance is dramatically affected by DA and atmospheric conditions. Much more than intakes imo. Also i noticed that the intakes are slightly easier to cool off and heat soak less easily than the stock aiboxes due to less thermal mass probably. So if youre looking at the power, forget it. If u want sound and possibly slightly more consistent iat, this is the golden goose egg

Wow. With a midpipe that is going to be one nasty cold start. You may need one of those jet-blast deflectors they have at the airport. Post a sound clip when done.

I'm interested in the front mounted version since I definitely care about sound, but what are the drawbacks? I'm in NYC and it rains pretty often, what exactly happens if they get wet? Apologies for the newbish question.

Theoretically, water in engine=hydrolocked. That's bad. Haha.

The question is, how much water is needed, and what are the chances "that"amount of water gets sucked in? The answer...many many people have run CAI (cold air injection) style intakes for years, and virtually none have had issues.

Is it possible you will have water issues? Yes. Likely? Probably not.

If you are at all concerned, just get the short-ram style.ight be a slight sound decrease, bit if they get water your entire engine is below water! Hahaha. I have the short-ram version on my G20 and it is plenty loud. I can hear the turbos spooling with the windows closed.

You'll be fine; I am running the same intake on my car, and we have been selling from mount intakes for years and all over the world, not just different US states.

I never had any warranty claim regarding engine damage from them.

The BMS Front Mounted Intake sounds awesome, the turbo and induction sound it's way louder than stock:

A quick clip inside the car:

Hard to capture with the phone on this windy day in Northern California, but you can hear it with headphones, it's very addictive.
