Not a huge deal, but if you dont have a file, you will not be able to fit them in. I suspect the blue paint and slight measurement deviation just makes it a bit too snug to fit in there cleanly..
So you saying that you had to file on the top and bottom when sliding the pads in ? or that the pad was too thick ?

wonder if this could make the pads stick?

Yes, Top and bottom, they would not slide into the caliper, even tried hitting with a mallet.
Once I filed they went in fine and had some play. They were just a hair too snug, and I couldn't really see they were larger when compared to oem. I think all the paint was enough to cause it. They have the whole thing heavily coated in blue paint 🙄

That's very weird... wonder if next time you can try putting the inner side on the outer side just to see if it would go in... even though obviously the backing plate will be against the rotor but i mean just for fitment

wonder if this is a defect with the outer side pads that are slightly bigger than the inner ones...

The pads are identical, the have sensor slots on the top and bottom. You just rotate them depending on the side your putting them in.

I tried both, only the outer side was too tight on both sides. Were talking mils here..

So then that means it's the caliper that is different then...

Yes, absolutely. I even wire brushed it out to make sure there wasn't crap in there.

Ill try paint thinner next time and see if they go in

I bet that's happening due to the thickness of the paint. I just received a set of Yellowstuff pads for my G80 and I was very surprised at how much paint they applied to the pad backing plates

Not a huge deal, but if you dont have a file, you will not be able to fit them in. I suspect the blue paint and slight measurement deviation just makes it a bit too snug to fit in there cleanly..

Can you comment on drive around town and low speeds etc with brake squeal?

I guess it wouldn’t matter much since you’ve already tracked…,but prior to any noises? Getting tired of sounding like a hog on wheels.

How’s the dust?

+1 will be receiving some for my M340i with track package and not very worried with fitment only with performance.

There should be no squeal if you properly put paste on the backing plate and top bottom of the contact points with the caliper....

Also a few hard stops should bed them in and help with the noise

Yeah after driving around town a bit they stopped squealing. Anti seize was used on contact points.

I really don't notice a difference in day to day driving.

I don't have a read on dust yet, as I haven't driven much after washing the car.

I have EBC yellow on another car and it's about the same as stock, blue also I can't really tell if there is less or more dust

Had the car out on track today with Blue stuff.

90 mins on track.

Wear was about 30% front and rear.

They took a bit to bed in and were a little scary until they got hot, then were great.

Driving home after was basically normal, although I can now feel they bite less than stock in the street
