Apparently I get the VIN when the car starts to be built. So a couple of weeks away.

Ordered mine last week, just been updated that the build will start 10th July and expecting an end of Oct delivery. Can't wait!!!

I was agonising over the sunroof vs carbon roof but went with a sunroof in the end as I use it all the time in my other cars and on my F80 i really missed it. I have a carbon wrap lined up for it when the car is delivered so hopefully can achieve the carbon roof look while getting the benefit of the sunroof. The added weight wasn't a consideration for me. I have tracked enough cars to know that the added weight of the roof is immaterial.

I am glad I got the sunroof. Only had it a week, but have loved he roof. Helps I got the car in black, as getting the roof wrapped didn't matter. The ventilated seats are great as well!

Thought about the sunroof, have one at the moment. Decided not to go with it.
Was going to buy a C63s, whilst visiting my brother in Melbourne saw the new M4. Organised an M4 for the weekend The car blew me away. It didn't have a sunroof and it didn't bother me.

When I got back from Melbourne, drove the C63s again. Was soooooo underwelmed after driving the M4.

Decided to buy the same spec I drove, but with xDrive.

Sounds like we have an almost identical spec. I also have a C63 coupe, the facelift version, and i was blown away by how much better the M3 was I that drove. Had it for 3 days and it was amazing. Ordered the M4 the minute i returned the test vehicle to the dealership. When I got back into my C63 I felt like I was sitting on a stool - the seating position is so much higher in that car compared to the new M3/4. Wow what a difference. Although the C63 sounds absolutely amazing the new G8x are just better cars. Maybe that's the BMW guy in me coming out - the C63 was my first and only AMG. Sounds wonderful but it is severely traction limited. Hence my decision to go for xDrive !

Fingers crossed. It is really easy to get frustrated about how long the process takes - I know it is for me. My car is built but is waiting for shipping to be booked, which can take a couple of weeks

I am yet to be told by my dealer about the missing wireless charging feature that others have spoken about.

I would be interested to know how many other buyers have or have not been informed of this.

Ordered the 430i cabrio on 26th May from Parramatta, Sydney and got final confirmation on 4th june. They had messed up my order and came back saying beige is not available. I had to fight and get the tartufo added as complimentary. Built date is 31st Aug.

Haven't had a call or update on that either 🤔
Shit happens and nothing we can do about it.
