swapping pads triggered a brake warning

I need to read my codes, but swapped my front pads after the track today and now computer is angry, whining brake warning, dsc, parking brake..

Just pushed back the caliper pistons with a spreader as usual.

Anyone have any luck getting bimmerlink to work? Bimmercode works fine but bimmerlink wont connect.

What other obd readers work on the g80s

Ok I read and cleared the codes with Bimmerlink

Dsc gets pissed off when the pistons are retracted and you start the car.

Bimmerlink lets you retract the parking brake too.

So bimmerlink can retract both the calipers and the parking brake actuator?

I had my pads changed also to ceramic and the tech put car back in shop mode, cleared codes and everything ok.

Im seeing a lot of wear on my rotors on track. Im going to work on cooling down the brakes with some deflection like how Porsche is cooling the 911

Yes, I saw your post linking Terry Fair's deflection shields. I don't expect to be tracking the car a whole lot since I am mostly racing the e92s but I would like to take the G80 for some BMWCCA events and instruct. Will follow your progress.

Which pads did you go with? I'm looking for a low dust option. Thanks

I went with DFC 3000 ceramic pads for front and Centric ceramic pads for rear. They also have a 5000 pad which is a semi metallic. Personally I prefer the ceramic option and zero break squeal.
