I placed an order for KW HAS. It seems as if there are no complaints about the KW whereas there are some complaints about the MSS. It also helps that the KW is a bit less expensive.

A lot of people have also said that the KW rides very similarly to stock, so as long as it's not unbearable - I'm sure I'll be fine.

Thanks all

Make sure they are in stock or you may be waiting for a while, as KW is backordered until after Xmas.

We have KW HAS kits in stock.

Well Well. Those on the fence with the H&R VTF Has Kit look no further.
First it fits aWD with no issues, drove 3 hours after I got them installed ZERO bouncing or noise. Literally felt just like stock dampening. See pic as reference (not fully settle nor it set where I wanted) but for now these have my vote. Ah it does have more room to go lower, more so on the RWD I believe (since they were meant for RWD initially.

Drop looks great and the car looks perfect!!!!

I went for the KW, but great to hear the HR HAS is not bouncy and close to OEM.

Your drop looks good. Is ride quality close to stock? How low did you end up going? I went with KW, but I have always been an H&R fan.

Comfort now feels like Stock Sport n so on. Very good ride nonetheless no noises or bounciness. Fronts still have some room but not much. Rears are half way.

Has anyone checked how much damper travel there is left when 30mm lowered?

I'm a little confused so maybe you guys can help me out? What parameters are we trying to achieve? Please note my car is the Competition M4 with 20" rear and 19" front. When lowered on adjustable springs do we want the car ride height to be the same in the front as in the rear? It appears that when the rear is lowered to a nice height and with minimal wheel gap that the front wheel has a larger gap than the rear. Do we take into consideration the 1" wheel size difference and thus the front will always be 1" lower; even after lowering the car?

I would appreciate clarification on this from those who can steer me in the correct direction. Thanks in advance.

It is preference between function over form.
Some do like to even out the gap while compromising the car's handling characteristic.
Some do like to keep the factory gap ratio / rake to maintain the car's handling characteristic.

All of my customers that really drive the car and care about the handling, will keep the factory rake where height adjustable spring comes in play. Most of regular lowering springs does it to even out the gap. So, handling characteristic is compromised.

Your front and rear wheel size difference doesn't matter in this case, what matter is the overall rolling diameter.

Good question and I'm sure it comes down to the individual and application. Me personally, I don't track the car (M4 Comp) and only care about appearance. I'm looking for a lower car all together (not slammed) with the front lower than the rear. I plan on putting on spacers to give in an aggressive stance.

With that, I think the recommendation is to go with lowering springs. Then the next question is, do I go with HAS. It sounds like the AST gives the front lower than rear appearance. Can someone confirm along with thoughts and guidance?

You get a slight rake with ASTs, here's a post with before/after specs with pics:

I have KW HAS on my coupe and I'm satisfied with both the ride and the lowered stance. No more wheel gap.

Pardon my ignorance, does the BMW M Performance Lowering Kit fit into this discussion? I'm not even sure their kit is apples-to-apples to KW etc. I'm asking because there's no KW installation shop near me, however I understand my dealer will be able to supply & install the M Performance mod for me.

Supposed to be released spring ‘22. Previous versions were has kits, so people are expecting the same.

Realistically, the MP suspension will be a rebranded kit already on sale (I think they used KW previously?) with little to no change other than branding on parts. That’s not saying it will be bad, but there will be a premium to buy the same kit from bmw.

Correct, it will be a rebranded KW HAS Kit. But they will change the height and rate of the spring. Max drop will be 20m m or 3/4".

Thank you. I'm assuming they limit the drop to ¾" to be conservative. I can't discern if that would be enough to get the gap between top of wheel and bottom of wheel well opening to an acceptable look. Beyond that, are there any advantages to using MP branded kits? I'm think about integrity of the suspension system and maybe warranty

Pretty much only advantage will be warranty as the kits will be very similar, like on past models.

I just had mine installed today as well pics coming soon. How far down is the front and rear? Do you know what the height is from the bottom of the rim to front fender?

Also, do you happen to have pics of the front install as they were being installed? I have another thread talking about KW's instructions.
