Torque spec for brace mount
Does anyone know what the torque spec is for the brace mount plate that sits above the suspension? I知 not talking about the studs that the strut bar mounts to but the 4 bolts underneath it and possibly the 2 above it.
I知 replacing some parts and I知 wondering if I would need to get an alignment done if doing so. |

Those 4 bolts fasten the top of the strut to the body. If you remove the strut you should get an alignment. According to this, those 4 bolts are 28NM plus 120 angle.

This should work as long as you don't have camber plates as they can shift under weight. Pretty sure the OEM strut bearing will hold it's position under the tower as long as you don't turn the wheel, jack it up, or roll/disturb the car. You might thread one bolt back into the strut bearing immediately upon removing that top brace for peace mind while disassembled. As long as the strut doesn't shift you shouldn't need an alignment.

It痴 28NM and then an additional 120 degrees (a little more than a quarter and a half turn)
