who knows whether the 2022 G8X will have the digital key card? not the digital key. i can make sure it will has the digital key, just do not know whether it has the key card!!!!

Is this because the gearbox leaves little room for the NFC? Or just position the manual differently in the product lineup?

Does anyone know if you can reprogram a different key card (or key fob) for another car? I had a 2021 M3 Comp that ended up getting totaled shortly after I received it and I still have a brand new key fob and the key card for it that they never asked for lol. My 2022 came with the key card as well.

Weird. It's a nice backup or if you have to valet. I would ask your dealership. Mine was in the glovebox

If not Ill just use the hard key because I have a garage key attached.

EDIT- it wasnt working but now it is (lock and unlock)

I haven't set it up yet but I have set up my iPhone and Apple Watch and they lock and unlock the doors and allow me to start the car. Guessing the key card does that, too, but I'm keeping mine in reserve for valet parking - not that I would ever let anyone touch my M.

Have to put the phone or watch in the tray, too, but don't have to leave it there. I think I'll default to using my watch to lock and unlock and the key in my pocket for starting. Nice to know if my key is misplaced, I can still start my car.

Key Cards are VIN specific and don't have a reprogramming feature available to my knowledge.

The wireless charging pad (when available) was in the center console storage area
