Has anyone purchased the autotecknic carbon fiber radiator accessory? Thoughts on it?

If you're talking about the cooling shroud then I have had it on my car since day one. Fits perfectly. It was a tad difficult to run the hood latch cable under the tabs built in but that was my only issue. While it may be possible to install it without taking the bumper off, I would recommend that you do. Doesn't take too long and gives you much better access to the push pins and bolts in the front of it.

Had i known it would have been easier to take off bumper to install, i might have kept my order in and not cancelled. The tech folks at autotecknic were no help at all…… plus the 4 pics they show are misleading The first pic they show the carbon fiber extends out to the 2 bolts which is not the case Will post pic of what im talking about . I had the bumper off to install new ducts and grilles already

I took off about 26 oem silver bolts around engine compartment and had them powdercoated gloss black…. Guess i will stick with that for now

So those two wings actually mount toward the front of the car. I took the plastic tray and weather seal piece off to show you.

thanks yocubed…. U cleared it up w that pic…. Still dont know why they could not have gone w carbon fiber for the wings on the back side but i will be ordering again

No problem. Yeah I like it mostly because I haven't really seen any other cars with it, so it makes it a bit unique. I'm thinking the reason that they didn't go all the way across the radiator panel was to keep it similar in design /shape as the OEM piece. I don't recall it having those pieces either.

I purchased one as well. So you can install it without taking the bumper off? There are several holes in the leading edge (facing the front of the car) that i though could only be installed by taking the bumper off.

It is possible to get it on with the bumper in place but extremely difficult. I managed to get it on initially when I first bought it but struggled with those leading edge holes. The good thing is those are the push pin type retainer clips. It's far easier and probably recommended to pull the bumper which isn't a hard thing to do. You might be able to get by with only loosening the top bolts and pulling the bumper away up top but after taking the bumper off for other things, I would just pull the bumper all together.

Hey all, my goal is to install the carbon fiber cooling shroud w/out taking the front bumper off.

Could someone walk me thru on how to achieve this? If I managed to remove all the necessary bolts, I noticed there are [4] holes that are attached in the front. How do I remove them? Ty

FWIW, I had it installed at EAS in SoCal and they had to take the bumper off to do it right.

BTW, I’m very happy with the quality and the look.

At first seemed impossible... but 💯 this can be done. These four push pins ... do come out with needle nose pliers and a trim tool. No bumper removal.

I had no problems with this item. If you have a trim tool to pull those plastic clips, it will be easy.

Anybody have a install guide without removing the bumper ?

Mine is off right now but i'll probably receive the CF coolant shroud cover in 3 weeks and I need to reinstall the bumper next week haha
