Any comments from BG owners on why you went with (or didn't) go with the 825 wheels? It seems like 90% of the pictures here are with the 826's.

I think both options are great, just surprised at the disparity.

I'm leaning towards going with the 825 Bi colors, mostly for the contrast (like in this spec from the RBR vid!!), but am interested to hear everyone else's thoughts.

I like the 825 orbit greys and considered them for a brief moment but the 826s just look like they're meant for the G8X platform. They're what I think of when I think of BMW M wheels and in black, they look mean! I don't regret my decision for a second. Had I found a car on a lot that had the 825 orbit grey wheels and the remainder of my spec matched, I would've taken it. I can't say the same for the bi colors.

The 825 bi colors are way too bright for me. They were never a consideration.

I'm glad we have options so we can all get what we like.

Understood--thanks for the insight. I totally agree with what you said about the 826's= mean/most aggressive look possible with them.

Makes me wonder if I'm basing my decision to go with the 825 bi colors too much on pictures online. 826's in person might push me the other way. decisions, decisions.

I ordered the 826 black wheels, but I really love the look of the 825 bi colors as well. I may use them as winter wheels, that way I have 2 OEM sets if I ever change my mind. I think this series has the best wheel options... except for cleaning.

I ordered the 825 bicolors with BG (just like the pic). My reasons:

1) 825s look easier to keep clean

2) I feel that the 826s only look good when really clean and in good lighting. I've seen other pics where the 826s (both black & bicolor) blend in too much with the tire and don't exude that "pop" I'm looking for in a good rim.

3) I would have considered the 825 orbit grey wheels….but I don't care for the exposed outer ring that appears brighter silver while the rest of the wheel is dark.

I've been back & forth on this decision so many times. I was even concerned about the weight difference between the wheels (which ended up being nothing). Gonna roll with the 825 bicolor like the pic.

My feelings exactly…well put. I feel better about ordering the 825 bicolors now.

In my opinion, the 825 bicolor wheels look out of place on a car with extended shadowline trim. Like the car pictured, these cars don't have much if any chrome or silver trim. The exhaust and entire car is black trim. To me, that makes the brighter wheel look out of place.

BG will be my first non-AW car since 2009. AW just doesn't look as good on the G80... and man BG looks amazing in all different lights.
