Agreed. Tested SQ5 and Macan GTS. Completely different experience. The Audi was a lot less $$$ though, and even 13K less than a Macan S apples to apples. I'd skip the S and SQ5 no matter the price. The GTS is a lot of fun.

Macan GTS is hands down the best driving experience from an SUV aside from the Cayenne turbo GT.
I had a friend who had an X3M and was so resistant to the Macan GTS, and then he drove one and swore off the X3M and got rid of it.

I'm in that camp - Macan turbo is my new DD and I love it

As the owner of both a G80X and a Macan GTS (albeit it a 2017 so not the current GTS), I can tell you they are both terrific and fun cars. But they both serve different purposes. My Macan is the utility vehicle that just happens to be super fun to drive. Seriously, it doesn't drive like an SUV at all. more like a tall hot hatch. And to me the Macan is still the best looking SUV on the market despite being around for so long. If you are looking for just 1 vehicle to be a DD, honestly it is really a matter of preference and your priorities. Can't really go wrong with either.

Have you driven a recent Macan GTS? They are quite sharp. I have a 911 and got one as a loaner - I was really surprised. The smoking tire has a great video on the '22 Macan GTS. It's no slouch.
Which gen 911 do you have?
I tested a 2017 macan gts to replace my 997 gts and was hoping for some of the same character and exhaust noise to carry over, but I was disappointed with how insulated and numb it felt. Steering was very light and accurate though. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations.

100%. I tried to satisfy my wife's idea of one car to do it all and bought an Audi SQ7. I've also had an M3 xdrive on order since Oct, which is going to end up being a year late.

I had the SQ7 for 6 weeks and sold it back to the dealer with 5 grand profit - the new car market is crazy atm.

I also have a Macan GTS on order, which I will now take and flip, as I don't think it will be any different to the SQ7 as an all-rounder. Great cars, but you're adding mass in all the wrong areas, increasing drag, decreasing fuel economy, more expensive tyres, etc.

In the interim, I am taking a stock M4 Comp RWD and buying the wife another A4 Avant.

Macan GTS might be good, but Macan base felt heavily underpowered

I have a Macan GTS on order and I can get a G80 M3 Jahre edition .
the purpose is use as a second daily and winter use
Love both brands and owned bunch of them.
M3 to me is more beastly and engine is better
Macan is great but I am afraid it is not an M3
of note , I currently have a base 2022 Macan as a second daily , and I love it more than I expected as it is my first SUV. The original plan was to replace it with GTS which will be more fun with extra 200 hp and better suspension etc
but can't help but think for same money M3C will be more fun
what do guys think

Never had a Macan GTS but had a Macan S as my other car prior to my M340. Although the Macan is the best driving SUV it is still not a sports sedan nor a sports car. The M340 is just a better vehicle so I would imagine the M3 comp is miles ahead of the Macan GTS.

The BMW drives better, its faster, and believe it or not it has more cargo room. The macan has a tiny trunk and the back seats are cramped.

That being said, I have never drive a Macan GTS so I could be wrong.

Question:

When folks say they are making profit flipping cars, specially nowadays with the crazy used car market, are they claiming profit before or after tax/lic?

Porsche build quality is second to none and the steering in a Macan is Uber-impressive for a CUV. It's the segment leader in the "overall" category.

Depends if you want a car vs crossover.

Also of note, the Macan GTS looks fine whereas the M looks, well, you be the judge.

I love the air suspension on my old 2018 and current 2020 Macan GTS, smooth ride....

I'm just tired of driving a SUV after 4 yrs....
