Status Description: Scheduled for production
The factory has scheduled production of your unique BMW.

Doesn't say a date though, strange since it's scheduled, but there's no date as to when it'll start... grrr

Howdy, fellow week 43rs! I posted last night on the Week 42 thread (see message below) ... but then woke up this morning to find that my 112 status had been ripped away from me, and I've reverted to 111. My follow-up call to one of our friendly geniuses seems to have confirmed I'm now week 43, instead. (Supposedly I'd had a production day of 10/21, just at the end of Week 42; a missing or damaged part in my "pack" bumped me. Or that's the story, anyway!)

Looking forward to comparing notes as our builds get closer/completed ... and shipped! Cheers.

Sorry to hear that, but welcome to week 43!

Glad BMW is ensuring all the parts are quality with no issues before starting production, that's worth a week bump

Thanks! And I know, right? I'd actually had the same thought, as I was drowning in my tears this morning. Seriously, though, I'll take quality control in exchange for a a short delay, any day!

FWIW, I'm still demoted to "Order Received," after several glorious days in the land of "Scheduled for Production" (in week 42, as mentioned earlier today). Hoping it'll change back to 112 again tomorrow!

We might have the exact same build.... 6MT, SSG, full black leather, 826M. Curious if you got buckets too because I think that is what pushed my build back to week 44.

Clearly you have amazing taste!

So I wavered, but then ultimately decided to pass on the buckets. Obviously I love how they look (and how they feel -- at least for the short stint during which I tried them), but I was concerned my wife would end up bitching about them ... and then would complain about going anywhere in the car. Practicality (and a [relatively] happy wife) sadly won out in the end.

Haha I went through the same debate. I don’t think there is a wrong choice. My wife drives the more “family friendly” car so we will just take hers when we go out. I went back and forth on that more times than I’d like to admit. Though not nearly as painful as the extended versus full leather internal struggle LOL

Called the Genius line today and found out I moved from week 44 to week 43, happy to hopefully be joining you guys! I live on the west coast and will be having port installed MP HAS so hopefully I'll be able to take delivery of the car before the end of the year! Still status 111 as of today though so who knows

Welcome! Interesting that you moved up. Mine is 43 too, but mine shows:

Which happened about a month before it's supposed to be built... so wonder if maybe they moved me up to, or if it's normal to show this a month out.

I'm in California, so West Coast like you, hoping to get my car before the end of the year also! Would be a nice Christmas

It would be an amazing Christmas for sure! Let's keep our fingers crossed, obviously this is all still subject to change so for now I am being cautiously optimistic lol.

You could always call the genius line to double check your tentative production week, it is somewhat odd that some 43 week folks are 112 and others like myself are still 111, however my expectation based on other threads is that we should all move to 112 in the next week or so.

I just called the Geniuses to verify: I'm still Week 43 on their end (never switched back to 42, obviously), but hoping for some movement tonight/tomorrow. (Okay, so it's probably just arbitrary or a figment of my imagination, but I think I've convinced myself I've been seeing a number of other changes occurring on Fridays (or overnight leading into Friday).

Am I obsessing? Okay, maybe a little. (And the process has barely started!)

I know! Given how they teased me with 112 status last week, it seems things probably remain in flux until you actually hit 150; 112 alone isn't enough. But now that week 43 is getting considerably closer, I'd assume you're at least safe -- and you'll probably get your VIN sometime around Oct. 13-16 (with more definitive production date to follow).

I'll rest easier when once they just put me back on 112.

I believe a production date of 10/10 would put you with the week 41 folks. Week 43 starts on 10/22

Disappointed to report that I'm still stuck at 111 this morning.

Supposedly I'm still on the list for Week 43 ... but then it seems odd that the status hasn't updated to 112 yet. Hopefully soon!

Honestly, I don't even know what "Scheduled for Production" means. If it's scheduled, why not say an estimated time for when it'll start? Kind of misleading... should be "we think it'll be scheduled soon" instead

So i think order received and scheduled for production isn't really that different. You'd think a company who's whole job it is to build cars would have a faster more streamlined process in place
