I couldn't resist and called BMW Genius. I'm still week 45 and they said it should start production (status 150 with VIN) in the next week or so. She also reminded me that the production week can change until you hit status 150.

I had been talking to dealers for about 6 months. Most were telling me 12-24 months for delivery. Someone from this forum posted about an allocation at his dealer, called and made the deal. Definitely lucked out. I also worked with Next Level brokers. They found me an allocation pretty quick, but the dealer had all sorts of mark ups and add ons.

Nice. I wasn’t in a rush, dealer told me about a year, figured that would give me some time to save up. I WAS planning on selling my E90 to help fund the G80, but there has been an internal revolution in the family to not sell it. And I know I would miss my E90.

Cool. I’ve had a E39, E46, E39, E69, f83 and F80. I’ve always wanted an E90. I heard that V8 can sing. Especially with the right exhaust.

A friend of mine ordered his m3 in 2021 april and got in 2023 april, 2 years of wait. I ordered mine this may and the car is almost here.
What do you think if i change my spec from m sport seats to carbon buckets will my 45 production week pushed back?

There is no better exhaust note. As I’m shopping for an aftermarket, there isn’t anything that blows me away other than the Akropovic, but don’t want to spend that kind of cash. Nice collection as well. I’ve had an E36, the 90, and now the G80 that’s coming.

I've been debating the same thing. My car will be a daily driver and I know if I switch to carbon buckets my wife will be complaining every time she gets in the car. I still wondering if I should get them before we turn 150.

I expect any change, especially carbon buckets, will delay delivery.

Definitely one of the best seats out there, they complete the interior for me. I couldn't imagine buying the car without them. Then again I'm only 20 and don't have a passenger that can complain 😂

Exactly the same here, daily driver and wife will be complaining. One week ago i made a test drive with an m4 with buckets. Seats are comfortable, you feel the car more special, ingress it’s ok, egress is a bit challenging. Than i tried an m3 cs and the egress was a nightmare…..but i don’t feel the comfort seats special enough! We have one week maybe to make a decision!

I was lucky because my dealership had two m4’s, one with buckets, the other with comfort seats, i tried both of them and i felt the comfort seats not special enough but i neeed a daily…can’t decide. My spec is also with tartufo leather. Exterior color is Malachite green. With buckets i would pick black or silverstone.
What is your exterior color?

Nice color combo. I’m skyscraper. Fiona would look good in skyscraper, but it may be too much red for me. Honestly, I’ll likely stick with the sport seats. My build is already at $94k for a base manual.

Have you seen the pics of the special order tartufo carbons someone on here got?

Skyscraper was also on my list, in real life looks incredible and with tartufo is a killer spec. Those tartufo buckets are so cool, but was a unique build i guess.
The wear of the side bolsters is one of my biggest fear with the carbon seats.

The buckets look cool, but they are definitely not for me. I put too many miles on a car. I drive 9 hours one way to florida about 10 times a year, not to mention it takes me 45 minutes to get anywhere in my car. The most comfortable option is a must. My build was nearing 110 already, so I didn’t need to add another 4500.
