Saw this at a dealer in Boston MA. I am not a big fan of standard Portimao Blue, but he frozen version on the M3 is very nice. Photos:

It's an absolutely beautiful color. No question. But best for those folks who want an M3 as a third (or fourth) car that is garage kept. The frozen colors are not ideal for anyone that intends to daily drive an M3/M4 due to the high maintenance and sensitivity.

Disagree. My Frozen PB is my daily driver and is extremely easy to maintain - would even go as far as saying that it is easier to keep looking clean than any glossy paint vehicle I've owned.

Water spots are the biggest concern, so I have a de-ionizer that I use when washing my car. After rain or wet driving, I try to wipe down the car using a matte detailing spray. This takes 5 minutes, max, and keeps the car looking fresh between washes too. If, for whatever reason, I find water spots that I wasn't able to get to, I use Dr. Beasley's Water Spot Remover to gently remove them. I have found the paint to be quite durable (not soft as many people mistakenly characterize it) and not easy to scratch or chip. I have zero regrets with the paint choice. Good luck! Congrats on your car. |

I love the look of the frozen paints but for me "easy" is occasionally (maybe once every couple months) taking the car to the local touchless wash when I feel the car is startling to look overly dirty…. |

Precisely and well said. Easy to me is being able to take the car to a car wash whenever and not be concerned about water spots or whatever else. Why I ordered the easy peezy Alpine White.
I'm glad there are those that take the extra care with the frozen colors—they are easily the most beautiful look available. But too much extra effort for a guy like me…. |

I've been in touchless car washes 2 times before. Both were frightening (afraid of scratches or going off the rails) don't plan on doing that again or often. For me, during winter I just wait until it warms up enough for a hand wash, so like 38F 🥶.

One of the best frozen colors IMO.. and I own a frozen white G80
And the “high maintenance” reference for frozen paints is just silly. It’s no different than a gloss paint, you just need the right detailing solutions that are ph balanced. Frozen is a TOUGH paint. Much harder than a soft gloss. I daily drive my frozen white G80. 50 mile round trip every day. I even once had my 120 lbs dog jump on the driver door excited to see me, claws and all. No issues. The problem comes with needing paint repairs. Matching perfectly could be almost impossible. Frozen colors are quite unique and have much more depth and appeal over stealth wraps or vinyl wraps. |

My concern is if the paint is damaged to to an accident, its going to be a PITA to repair back to factory condition.
Touchless wash in an M3?!! Don't you guys have hand car washes around you where actual humans wash cars? |

I have frozen blue too. Totally agree with blittle887, BRIGM3 and FISH22. Use Dr. Beasley's matte shampoo with foam gun and Sonax cleaner on wheels every 2 weeks - 30min. You have to go to a high pressure station to remove water spots with filtered water then drying with a blower and large silk dryer - 30min. That's all and the car is like brand new each time. The only bad thing with FPB is to never use the windscreen washer.... I clean glasses manually with cleaning wipes. Daily drive and not wrapped nor coated.

I guess there's no way this paint would work in Northeast winters then, where clearing your windshield (after salty road grime accumulates) is a pretty regular occurrence.
