Haha, I did same thing. Guess I'll cop to it too.

5 months and counting. And the best part is that it still hasn't been produced...

Because the recall tool is down on the UK site, I called BMW NA and was informed that my car is included in the recall for the main bearing shell.

I have a '22 M3C Xdrive with a production date of 7.28.21.

Now I wait for further communication from BMW. I was told I'd be getting letters in the mail. One notifying me of the recall and another with remediation information.

Really Sorry to hear!! I’m affected as well so couldn’t finish paperwork and delivery of it yet. If you do get the remedy mail would you be able to share it here? I want to make sure what exactly is the fix before I decide to purchase. This is the most frustrating experience. Been a dream car since I was a kid and now this shit happens.

Thanks for sharing - super helpful. Did they tell you when you should expect those letters? (a couple of days, weeks, month?)

hmmm... I doubt the UK recall checker is "randomly" down. At first glance, there are a number of reasons why BMW could do this.

Speculatively...
1) Recall info may be inaccurate
2) Mitigate bad press/angering the enthusiast community
3) They are still determining the severity of the issue

Unfortunately no ETA on when I'll officially be notified.

Just another data point, my 2022 M3 comp xdrive with production date of 8/24/2021 is not affected by this (had checked UK site plus dealer confirmed it) and it doesn't have any other stop sale. It should be delivered to me next week, cleared VPC and waiting for truck to dealer.

For reference it has pretty much all options except carbon brakes (Dravit grey, silverstone full merino, driving assistance, parking assistance, executive, 826M bicolor, red callipers, shadowline lights, carbon trim, laser lights and carbon seats).

I had my X3MC built on 9/8. Via bimmer app, no recalls show for my vehicle. I'm hoping I got my car built from a good batch.

Is it possible I got lucky?

Start your own delivery thread. I need to see more Dravit cars. Dying to get my G82.

Dealer says they don't suspect much of a delay due to it when it gets here. Not sure how accurate that is.

Another thing I found out today is that the actual date it left the port was on 10/2, yet when I checked on 10/4 it said it was still at the port, it is expected to get to the US on the 16th.

Reason I'm sharing this info is because it's crazy how different everyone's experience is. Some are waiting on the RAM issue at the port, some shipped off (like mine) to be dealt with elsewhere, some have the bearing issue. Point is that, unless it's been confirmed that your specific vehicle has the bearing stop sale, relax and don't worry as much as I did.

Good luck to all!
What ship are you on? Sirius Highway? Those dates line up with mine / expected to arrive in Georgia on the 16th then to Galveston on the 20th.
Nice! All same info as you!

My car has a US VIN number, but BMW NA does not recognize it yet. However, per UK site, my car has no recalls of any sorts.

Minus the tinfoil :-)

They didn't want someone making an opensource tool on Git leveraging their data and API calls, so they took it down until they've better secured it.
And/or how their knickers were showing from something as simple as using a browser's dev tools.

This recall certainly may have highlighted that for them - as opposed to what the recall itself is.

Technically that is not a recall but some kind of technical issue (at least based on API responses from BMW). US site returns only open recalls and the UK system just querying BMW GROUP main system (not connected to specific region) and returns all open issues.
