Prior Design front bumper for G8X - Update
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Check out the video (in German) where he shows a few more pictures in other colors etc. In a first step, they will only produce a new bumper since Andreas is satisfied with the looks of the rest of the car. A complete (widebody) kit might follow later. He asked for feedback on the designgs, so feel free to comment on the video. There are three main versions of the bumper right now (and a couple variations), one of which will be produced. Last edited by Flamingi; 02-21-2021 at 03:07 PM.. |

Personally, I don't like either of them and would rather have the stock bumper. While they have "fixed" the big nostrils, now there are no kidneys there at all. The shape is kinda weird and ironically seems to be too small for my taste. Also, I don't think the vertical bars work with a reduzed kidney grill area. What do you think?

We all know what's going to happen. Most disliked the new grill/front end when it first came out, and now people are coming around to it. Now that renderings are coming out, most will dislike the renderings since many are getting used to the OEM front. If I had to choose, I'd say 1. 2 and 3 don't look like they go with the current design language at all.

There was nothing to fix in the first place. If anything, they ruined a perfectly good looking car.

Agree with others...personally would not choose any of those to replace stock, very busy looking and the kidneys look very weird to me...
Btw OP: He said they got a call from their dealer and will get their M4 in the next days, not weeks |

Sorry, I don't care for any of these. The grilles in these are actually too small.

Problem with these concepts is that the grilles looks worse than the original lol. Like someone else mentioned, make the grilles look like the M8 and you’d have more success.

Only design I like really is 1 but what happened to the huge sensor smack dab in the middle. 3 has interesting characters in the airflow vents for the brakes but i’m wondering what kinda debris is going to go through that huge opening.

Like many others, I'm really not the biggest fan of the stock grills but these are worse...unequivocally.

I understand these are aftermarket bumpers, but they seem "too aftermarket" if that makes sense *shrug*
I was initially curious to see the aftermarket suggestions for the front bumper, but after seeing the current plans and offerings, I'm appreciating the stock bumper more and more |

Why make a whole new bumper but force the older top-half of the grills? M8 grills and call it a day.

While the stock ones are horrendous, I don't think these renders are quite there yet. 3 looks pretty good if the kidneys were shorter and wider... maybe with vertical slats again? So yeah, more M8'ish
