Picked up my 2022 M3 xdrive last night. Currently getting tinted and will post up picks soon. Wanted to share what I did for front plate. I will only be using this when parked on street in the boroughs of NYC otherwise it won't be mounted. I prefer this solution best as obviously we don't want to drill and mount on bumper and I personally think the tow hook mounts look even worse since they are way off center and just look weird. Using existing screws under bumper

I had a similar set up on my 2016 F80, but never remembered to actually mount the plates lol. I got about a ticket/year in the boroughs, I can live with that. I'm in RVC, where are you located?

Westchester. I got a ticket a while back with different car and never forgot again. Those tickets can pile up fast because they get you every time on the street especially at the meters. I only go down to queens once a week. Up here they don't bother me.

Yeah if you're parked on the street weekly you'll get hit a dozen times a year at minimum. I park in Brooklyn every day but in a gated lot.

Can Sto N Sho only work when you mounted it low on the grill? Will it work mid-grill?

For Carbanio, does anyone know if the plate release is spring loaded or do I need a screwdriver to attach/remove the plate? Also, does anyone have a picture of what the Carbanio mount looks like when the license plate is not attached? Thanks!

Stow and sho mounts on a plate under the bumper so no mid grill mount option but 99% of time my plate is in trunk.

You can watch the video on their main page. I would assume the mechanism is almost identical across all cars.

Which one did you buy ? I'm looking at sto n show website and they don't have an M3/M4 2021+ model.
I'm sure most could be made to fit. Just curious which one you used.

Your right. I just checked and see they still have not added it to the website. Give them a call today and they will explain how to order it. They do have a fitment for it but for some reason haven't listed it. Just make sure you call Sto n sho directly and not one of their resellers because the resellers won't have it. Also, once they explain how to order, sign up for their newsletter for 10% off. Saves another $10.

I’m in The Chicago area so I will certainly need a detachable plate option for the airport or parking in the city. Can you explain how the Sto N Sho mounts under the bumper on the G80? Do I need to drill into anything to mount that bracket? Thanks!

Nope. Nothing to drill. Simply remove 2 existing underside bumper screws and mount the plate by reinstalling those screws. The base plate sits back about 2 inches so you can't see it unless you bend down to look under the bumper.

Exactly what I'm looking for. I'll certainly go this route whenever my Xdrive shows up.

Is there any up/down adjustment on the plate holder? Thinking about potential scrape on the bottom of the plate when coming close to a concrete parking stop while pulling into a parking spot.

None at all. It only adds about 1/2". People put in front lips that are much lower than this.

Finally got a video. As you can see it's under 10 seconds to mount and take off.
