Has anyone looked into or actually picked their vehicle up in Welt. I read over the packages and it seems pretty pricey. Not sure if the experience is worth it, but getting your car a little earlier than normal and not waiting for it to be shipped would be nice.

They put a stop to the Welt delivery because of Covid. Idk if it ever started again.

According to Euler, they have delivered some AWD G8x models, but without the cameras. Now deliveries are on a hold until they can get the cameras in and install them.

I asked Bavarian about this and they said they are unable to give me my car without the camera. They gave me a loaner instead. Thats what I get for paying cash up front. If I dumped that money in the S&P while I wait I would be up by about 8k.

Yeah, that's going to be the case until they can get caught up on all the back ordered cameras.

There were three M4s

What specs did you get? Would you mind sharing some pics of your interior? I ordered tartufo too and have seen pics and understand it's solid brown, but the quality of pictures have varied.

I didn't take any interior pictures. It will be sitting in the same spot today and tomorrow in case you want to go see it. I think it will look really good with tinted windows.

I didn't get any packages.
After driving the 2021 530i, I was not impressed with the features that the packages offer.

Here is what I didn't get and why:

- Driving Assistance Package: I was constantly fighting the 530 and it was fatiguing. It's also an issue with how narrow the country roads are— you are constantly hitting the white line. I ended up turning it off on my way to Austria.

- Executive Package:
Gesture control is terrible— you can't jam out and air drum without muting your audio.
Heads Up- I sit high in my seat. The eye accommodation from looking down at the heads up is no worst than looking down at your dash. Its also very distracting and I turned that off too.
Heated Steering Wheel— This should be a standalone option. I wanted this one.
Power Tailgate— Its actually pretty convenient. A Gate Guard asked me to open my trunk once and I was able to open and close it without leave the car. The kick to open works half the time.

- Parking Assistance: I wanted to add this one but my SA was on vacation when the car when into production and I wasn't able to add it. It's convenient when you are in a city parking garage driving a 530 boat. I don't plan on putting myself in hairy situations with the M3.

- Lighting- I also wanted to add this one but SA was on vacation.

- Interior- I went with the Aluminum. I couldn't justify paying $900 for non functional carbon when its no cost on other models. The one thing I didn't realize until after the car was in production was that the carbon paddle shifters are unique to the carbon interior. The carbon black in my opinion wouldn't compliment the Tartufo brown interior. I wanted a classier look.


In case anyone is looking for a winter wheel set up- Here is what I did (not selling). I bought two 19" oem wheels to use on the rear running 275/35 19. It might be a little big for winter wheels but I found a good deal on tires. Wheels are 500 euro each.

Nice! I went with very similar build. Black wheels, red calipers, skyscraper but black interior.

I think a tint will be a must on this one. Will have to figure out what is legal here as I dont want to be harrassed.

I went by Bavarian and Euler in Kaiserslautern today and they had a few G8x models there.

Euler:
M3C - Light Grey (idk exact color) with Tartufo
M4C - IOM Green with KY Orange
M3C - White with SPY

Bavarian:
M4 Base - Black Sapphire Metallic Black Interior
M3C - Dark Blue w/ Silverstone Interior

If I remember correctly, none of the cars had CF seats and they were all 2021 models.
I'm so jealous of the 6 speed G8x models. I want one so bad, I just feel like I have to go with AWD over a manual. That's not an easy decision though.

I took the wife X5 delivery on Welch. My G80 will be my first on K-Town. As far as the experience, was absolutely amazing; they went trough all the steps, had the bmw wine ready. The inspected the car a few times before and after to make sure everything was how I liked it. They help my wife set up the X5 they way she want it. The only bad thing was the drive back tough lol

Yeah, I did see that Black M4 there too.

Even BMW doesn't use the term xDrive like they do on the M340i. It actually says AWD on the BMW website, so I wasn't expecting the XDrive badge. I had all my M340i badges taken off before I took delivery, but I think I might leave the M3 on this time.

I talked with my wife about it. I think we are just going to take delivery here. As awesome as it sounds, it's pretty expensive and that drive back would be rough. Maybe when we order her X-5 before we leave we will check it out. Thanks!

Just got back to Germany and took a look at your car. Which cemented my choice of tartufo interior. It looks great. It makes me even more excited for my order. Congrats!
