Genius will only provide the name of your ship once it flips to "in transit."

They do not mix coasts on the ships. There's east coast ships and west coast ships.

Check the WW and K-Line websites to figure out the ship possibilities for the next couple of weeks.

Good info. Is there a general timeline of how long it takes to get to the dealership after it arrives stateside? (NYC port --> dealership)

Not really; depends if there's any stop sales, body work/repairs from shipping, etc., that need to be handled. Also needs to process through customs and get on a carrier. Also depends on how far your dealership is from the port. Too many variables.

I'm a little confused about this part of the process. Does it flip to the next step "In Transit" after the ship has left Bremerhaven or after it leaves the final destination port to the dealership?

Mine has been sitting at the port in Germany for 19 days now. No release holds of any kind. Just waiting on a ship spot it seems. Maybe the RO-RO ships are starting to get backed up?

Oh man sorry to hear that. That makes me think I'll be waiting a little longer then...I was thinking I would be on the Torino vessel operated by WW but maybe not if there is a backup.

I've been at the port since 8/28. Not sure if Im waiting on WW, or NYK. The WW ship is leaving 9/08, and arriving at Port Hueneme on 10/11.

2 NYK ships leaving. One on 9/7, arriving to Port Hueneme 10/5 and the other not leaving until 9/14, and arriving on 10/10. Hopefully, I'll be on one of those.

Yes, we talked, prevoiusly, but check my post 97, I updated it with new info. These are the only 3 ships leaving out to California, in the next 3 weeks. If we arent on one of these, Im going to be

Per my post, a few posts up, I've heard on numerous occasions from other forum members that the shipping status doesn't update until you're a few, (2-3) days at sea.

Atlas Leader is supposed to leave, today. Morning Lena, just docked this morning, and it supposed to leave, tomorrow.

I'll keep an eye on them, but if we're on one of these ships, we should be at sea, today, or tomorrow, and updated maaaaybe by the weekend? Let's see.

Correct. You won't know you're on a ship until 2 (maybe 3) days after you leave. Genius will be able to give you your ship name at that time.

So, it looks like my only options are WW and NYK, unless I'm missing a carrier?

ARC and K-Line don't have any port calls past Galveston Texas. So, neither have anything coming to California.

Morning Lena is on WWs schedule, but it's actually a Eucor Vessel, so the schedule still checks out. Looks like I only have 2 chances to make it out. If not, I'm waiting until the Rhea Leader on the 14th, or the Tulane leaves on the 24th.
