Hi, fellow Week 34 members. I'm new and this is my first post. I've been meaning to send this info for a while but have been busy with work and home tasks.

First, my M4 Comp xDrive went into assembly today after being in the paint shop since 8/6. See the screenshot below for confirmation.

Second, I can confirm that there are some COVID-related chip shortage delays with production out of the Dingolfing plant. In July, BMW announced delays for specific plants. Regensburg, Dingolfing, and Leipzig are only working first shift and sometimes not even a full week.

Related to the second point, Dingolfing is now the exclusive manufacturer of the 4 series. That includes hybrid and all-electric variants as well. The plant was redesigned to handle all three drivetrain variations very recently. Most importantly, the plant only has a single production line so they juggle the production of these cars in batches (assumed).

I don't have a lot of information on the M3, other than it is being built in Munich and that Munich is supposedly working with a full production schedule.

Mine entered the assembly line after being stuck in the paint shop for weeks.
I am just bummed they did away with Euro Delivery.
I recall following my F80 back in 2017, as iam doing now and gearing up for my first Euro delivery.This would have been my second.

I got dispatched from the factory yesterday as well. Does that mean it's been assigned a vessel?

And I know there are many factors in play but do you guys have an idea of how long till we get our cars? Late September-early October?

You won't be assigned to a vessel until you're actually on it. (Of course you'll actually be assigned earlier, but you won't know which until 2 or 3 days after it leaves the port). Genius won't be able to provide you the info till a few days after.

It seems to be taking anywhere between 2-3 weeks to get on a ship. Obviously this varies. If you have no holds on your car, I'd estimate early October...just a guess.

I got the M3 Competition xdrive. No special options - a pretty bare bones car compared to other members. Are you in Houston as well?

Hang in there, mine was done in a day from the paint booth to leaving the factory yesterday. It zipped through the assembly process faster than I could capture screenshots. Good luck.

Thank you. That's what I've been noticing. I went 150 on 7/29, so the Tracker sat on the same screen for 26 days, and I've already had 3 updates, since yesterday. Things are definitely moving, now.

Dravit Gray. Everything except carbon buckets and carbon exterior trim. I ordered CCBs everything. $103k.
