Build Week 44 Discussion

Hello to all. I am also a week 44 build, I still have production number only and no VIN. Im assuming you can see the tracker I keep seeing once you get a VIN?
All the people on here saying they went from 40-42-44 has me skeptical af!

If you have a production number, you can track your BMW on mybmw.com Just use the production number to track it. And most of us are expecting to get our cars around end of December. But no one knows.

A wonderful e39 sedan. It has more than 520.000kms on it. Bought back in 1997, was my father's car, now it's mine since 2012. A lot of sweet memories with it. And now....also my daily as my M3 is delayed to december.

Just saw that my production started this morning; guessing I was pulled up to week 43 as it seems early.

After going from 41->45, I'm back in 112 status and my SA says I'm now in week 44 so joining this thread

Confirmed again today I’m week 44, from 42. Hope it sticks! I asked and was told that’s when production starts as opposed to finished. Looking forward to 150.

Got my Production Week of 44 last Saturday. Placed my order on Aug. 13th

Had a order before for a '21 6MT Dravit Gray and cancelled the order due to '22s getting delivered prior to me taking delivery lol

My build:

I called my dealership yesterday and he said I am week 44. I told him when I just spoke to the genius I was told week 47. He said he’s absolutely positive it is week 44 still. So as soon as I hung up with him I called the genius back and was told they were absolutely positive I am week 47. I am so over this shit it’s not even funny.

I'd go with the dealer on this one. I ran into the same thing with my last order and the dealer was the correct one in that case.

I've had a Genius at the call center tell me my production number wasn't a production number. Just like anywhere else, some know their job and some not so much. Perhaps the system the Genius has updates at different times? Would think not but who knows.

So, if everything goes as planned and we still scheduled for W44, we should start seeing the status changing starting Sunday....we'll see...

Yup I'm both excited and anxious lol. I'm hoping the fact that mine is a manual means there won't be any further delays. (This is pure speculation on my part based on the far greater number of orders of automatic competition models)

Seems like some of the guys over in week 42 are being hit with the RAM stop sale and some aren't. That will be huge in terms of the delivery date so I'm hoping they'll have supply of those parts figured out by the time our cars are rolling along.
