Car Seat in the M3?

Does anyone currently have a car seat installed in their M3? Curious about fitment, how far the passenger seat has to be moved up, general experience, etc.

Thanks!!

I have 2 front facing car seats. No issues. I had a rear facing in my F80; I did have to move the passenger seat up a bit. I can't speak to rear facing in the G80.

I do make my kids take off their shoes however.

I have a front facing seat and a booster seat in my G80. No space issues at all.

I also have the carbon buckets which does help a little as there is a small amount of added space since they aren't as thick as the regular seats.

I have noticed that the way the rear seats are designed and how the seat belt clips in makes it a tad difficult for my 7yr old to buckle in compared to my previous vehicle (X3 M40i). However, she seems to have figured out a little workaround so that she can now do it without assistance.

Thanks for the info! I'm not planning on ordering the carbon buckets, but that's great info to consider. Thanks.

Car looks great BTW

Thanks. They look a little nicer than the BMW all-weather mats or Weathertech and are priced in-between the two.

I have standard seats and a rear facing convertible seat in mine half the time. I can sit in the front seat at 6’4” with plenty of knee room. With an infant seat clipped in I have about half an inch between my knees and the dash. My wife is 5’6” and has tons of room up front, even with an infant seat, and can fit in the back sitting behind me. Honestly I’m very surprised at how much room There is and it was what made me purchase the car.

Thanks Chad, good info. We have a rear facing convertible (Nuna Rava I think) right now in my X5. Happy to hear it will fit ok in a G80. thanks

I like them a lot so far. Provide a wide area of coverage and one of the few sets that also cover the middle hump and up to the leather on the seats in the back.

I bought via Amazon and they only list the part number as 523. I would assume it is the same as the 8523 on TuxMat's site.

Not an M3, but here you go. I’m 5’8” and there’s plenty of room behind my seat and no issues at all getting my little one in and out.

Thanks. Do you have any reason to believe the shape of the driver mat would not work in a manual? I may just buy the rears if I can…

I have three across for my three kids (6, 3, newborn). A front and rear facing Diono Radian 3RXT and a infant Uppa baby. It's tight and a little bit of a pain to get them in initially but it works. I do have a rear facing angle adjuster through Diono as well, as the middle rear facing needed to sit up a little more. Once we are out of the infant stage we'll change to 3 Diono across which fits as well (sorry do not have a picture of that right now). Would have preferred to have the forward facing behind the driver but my son has to get out the passenger side for school drop off and pickup.

I am 5' 10" and move the seat up about 2 inches with the baby in the car to make it fit, still easily able to drive a manual. My wife is 5' 6" and has no problem with space on the passenger side. Happy to help if you have further questions.

Limited opportunities to have a 6 speed manual and 5 seats that accomplishes dad tasks and is a blast to drive. Plus the kids love it!

We have this in 3 of our cars including the G80. No intentions and collects crumbs and seat from feet. It's awesome. You can get at target.
