I have the single midpipe (which I ordered from you : lol on my F80 and liked it a lot.
Keep in mind that AA offered their X-pipe first and was not planning to offer the single midpipe.

Customers asked for it because a lot of them had the AA single on their F chassis, so they made it and now its the most popular option

There's a reason I waited for AA's single midpipe over Valvetronic. Customer service is absolutely paramount; AA always had me because of the quality of their products, they officially have me as a lifelong customer because of their customer service.

I don't think many would be interested in the way my car will sound but I'll post a small clip or two when it's done. I'll have: MAD catless downpipe -> AA single midpipe -> Remus race.

Checking back in to see if/when they are offering these with a resonated option. Love the single sound, just want to tame the rasp a little more.

I second this. Dont have a car yet but really feel like Im gonna want a single with a resonator, or the AA x with high flow secondary cats. Coming from american V8s, most of these exhaust sounds are hard to like.

We really do need more resonated options. I ditched my PSI because I didn't want to hack it up and install resonators.

Supersprint seems to be the only resonated option.. but they're pricey, and shipping from Italy isn't cheap.

How did you like the sound of the PSI?

I still can't decide between the PSI and the AA xpipe.

As far as i know, no plans to release resonated single midpipe.

If you want a quieter sound, they offer the catted X-pipe

to be honest I don't notice any rasp at all with my single mid. It's not super loud either unless you're full throttle above 3k. It sounds great. Deep and throaty all the way through the revs and gets a higher pitched wail about 4-5kish. I don't really think there's a need for a resonated option if you're staying stock DP's. If I could get maybe 10-20% more volume I'd be 100% happy. Thinking about either AA's rear section or a valve controller to get just that little bit more volume.

+1

stock downpipes, single midpipe + active axle-back is the best sounding system in my opinion

Interesting, their website has said from day 1 that they plan on offering the single mid with a resonator option "in the future".

Perfectly balanced for a daily driver, the cold start is not obnoxious, no drone, casual driving has a deeper tone with a nice growl but not over the top, and high RPM runs have an aggressive sound.

For people that have installed this yourself, did you do the cut at the middle dimple?

Assuming this would mate up just fine to my MPE, as the PSI pipe mated perfectly.

Hey Mike,

How about stock downpipes+AA straight xpipe+ actiive axle back. Do you think that would be too loud for a daily?

No check engine light with the active autowerke downpipes. They use EPA-approved cats and offer their DP with a no CEL guarantee.

Their downpipes are like $4k though. Rather just not run downpipes at all or deal with the light
