I actually have a g87 M2 [same process as g8X].
I recently hard wired my dashcam fuse tap and am now getting this error. [followed the Blackvue thread for instructions] I tapped into F29 and F70.

Is this a serious concern or problem? Will it completely drain my battery if I leave it in the garage for x amount of time?

My dashcam is a Thinkware Q1000, front and rear. I turned off the parking mode so that it only records when I drive, but I still received the same error message; did I do something wrong?

I don’t see an image but if you are getting the yellow wrench that says “start the engine” that is something most people see when adding accessories. I suspect it’s due to the car staying powered for 6 minutes. My radar detector does that if I don’t turn it off prior to parking.

Does the car have a safety feature that it will turn everything off in the car or will it let the battery die?

the dashcam has battery protection so if it drops a certain voltage it turns the dashcam off completely

It will turn everything off except things that are wired to be always on like a dash cam that does parking protection. Thing is even though the car will shut down power I would still get this warning if the dash cam (with parking mode) or radar detector were left on. I would not worry about it.

Fuse F273: 20 Amp, 12V Socket. This fuse turns off after 7 minutes when you shut the car off.

Fuse F46 , located in the front fuse box does the same job as F273.

So just remove F29 and use F46 correct?
Leave F70 alone.

If I use F46 will I still be able to use the 12V socket in the cup holder?

Thanks in advance.
