Spacers: Wider front or rear?

IND recommends 15/12mm(F/R) while EAS recommends going wider in the rear. Which end is actually more tucked from the factory?

I fully agree with IND. I have 11mm at the four corners and the Fronts would look perfectly flush at 15mm while the rears are already perfectly flush at 11mm. If you have Michelin tires go for IND reco

I have always gone wider in the front on both of my M3’s; 18/15 or 15/12.

I'm going with 15/15 with spacers looking for a bit aggressive.

Installed my H&R spacers (11mm) yesterday. Was surprised to read in the TÜV certificate, required in Germany, that you must not install spacers in the front broader than in the rear. You may install spacer in the rear only though.

I went 15F/12R on stock ride height and have no issues with my Michelin PSAS4 setup.

Most people get spacers for the looks, so it's a personal preference.

some want the car to be wider in the rear, others prefer the more squared setup so they go with a wider front

E/F-Chassis rule of thumb was always the wider spacer up front. With the G-Chassis (5x112), the wider spacer is now in the rear.

If you're in the Anaheim area, drop on by - we keep all sizes in stock.

Tire brand, different wheel/tire setups, driving habits and suspension setup all play a role in what spacers to choose. If unsure, drop us a PM or phone call and we'll get you set up.

mike@x-ph.com, do you have the 12mm F/Cs in stock? I think I'm going to pick up a set. I have 10/12, now. I want 12 square. Just need one set.

Mike with IND have already solution for rubbing Not cheap… but… maybe I can buy only one side 😂

BTW: for those going 15mm on the front. Snow nicely shows that you better do not track the car without pait protection, mud flaps. Even mirror is getting snow.

I only have the MAD spacers in stock, but I can have the FC drop shipped directly to you if you are set on their brand.

I have the Macht Schnell, right now, and while they’re good spacers, and work perfectly, I’ve been taking my wheels off, at least once, or every other month, for the past 14 months, and it’s just easier if they line up. Although, I could just use my pin hangars and it would take care of it. maybe I’ll just do that and buy more Macht Schnell spacers. Decisions, decisions.

Or make the switch to wheel studs.

Agreed wheel studs might be a better solution for you long term.

I just have flashbacks of your Eurotuner GP post with the red M3 track officials chasing the guys wheel down the 1/4 mile.

Those were titanium studs, don't recommend them.

We only sell steel studs, the Macht Schnell studs are tried and true and use them on our own track cars.

Definitely an option, then. I just had visions of my 1000Ms rolling down the street.
