looks like they added the same euro one now? If true I'm buying ASAP https://remususa.com/car/racing-down...d=1-4-532-1858

It says it needs to be cut still I dont understand why? Maybe its just a template they wrote. The website is bugged it wont let me checkout of the cart

$5,500 for a great sounding exhaust sits well with me not $10,000 on this Akra.

I got excited for a bit and then read this "EU vehicles" when selecting the cat delete pipes. This means it's for European vehicles only.

Are you saying it does not sound good or that it's comparable to other good options that are selling for cheaper?
I am saying it sounds ordinary and doesn't seem like it is worth the premium over Remus. Now the only thing holding me back is the cutting of the stock exhaust needed on this car for Remus, wish it was just bolt on like other cars. I really wanted to go titanium I've had tomei on my previous car but it doesn't seem worth it for this car.
I have ordered the Remus Race cat back exhaust. I'm not going to cut my stock exhaust. I plan on going to my local muffler shop and have them create the pipes necessary to remove those secondary cats. I want my car sounding like the one in Shmee's video.
Please update us once you receive it with a video. This is the exact same thing I want.
Just out of curiosity, and out of naivety: is the Remus sufficiently emissions-compliant for us UK folks to get it through MOTs? I couldn't gather from the video (or the ensuing YT comments/discussion) what the status was regarding its legality, given they're removing the OPF (right?) in order to unleash that kind of sound.

I would like to know as well. You would think with the whole OPF thing they would be more cognizant with emissions. But nope.

Anyways, I've contacted one of the distributors for Remus to see if they can sell the secondary cat delete pipes only. Was told they'll look into it and get back to me. Fingers crossed!

Yes but when it says European vehicles only is it because they just want to sell it there or because the exhaust component/shape is different? Because I don't care if it's labeled that and fits my American car.

I believe it's for the European market only. These exhausts are made in Austria, so who knows if those extra set of pipes makes there way to the US. I've called the distributor for Remus and awaiting their response. If you have a way of getting them, let me know. I'm definitely interested.

Just got word from the distributor for Remus. Remus does not ship the secondary CAT delete pipes to the US since it's illegal. They stopped shipping those out 2 years ago. Seems like only option is having your local muffler shop fabricating those pipes, unless someone can smuggle them in for us.

As an F8x Akra owner, I must stress that without the flap controller it won't be that loud. You really have to be able to control the valves in the back and have it fully open to make it sound half decent.

Also I'm sure some of the tuners will be able to play around with the exhaust programming eventually.

But at this point I would wait until the G8x platform gets a little more mature b4 investing this kind of money.

Akra needs to be driven hard for about 5000 miles before it changes tone for the better.

My akra sounded very tinny brand new then it got much deeper over time.

Agree, exhausts need some time before it sounds the way it's intended to. I would say 5000 miles is a lot, takes 500-1000 on average
