FCA products in general are HUGE for getting stolen by me.

My friend had a scatpack charger. Lives in a decent neighborhood (leonia), so not the "ghetto" and one morning he went to go start the car. But he had to move another car to get his car out. So he moved the car, took the scat out, then put the car back in the driveway. Went to go put that car key back in his house and he heard his scatpack drive away lol.

They found it about 2 hours later. In newark lol.

Nothing was stolen (besides the car lol) or damaged. Someone was just in the area looking for a joyride i presume. Someone saw the opportunity and took it. Although i'm sure it was in newark to get chopped and sold for parts. But they didn't get that far.

I don't want to deal with that otherwise i'd have a hellcat charger now and i wouldn't even exist on this forum lol.

Different cars for different folks.

What matters is both cars are fast in a straight line.

Some people want brute force and a great soundtrack = hellcat

Some people want that gentleman's speed with refinement = M car

I couldn't agree. So many people knock it before they have even touch it. It's a fun car and it will put a smile on your face. Going underneath tunnels, there's nothing like it.

Plus NOTHING beats the sound of a V8.

That's why i couldn't replace my vette with an M3. I just added to it lol.

As am aside, yesterday, I almost kept up with a stock Charger in my lightly modded 128i. With a tune and headers, I probably would be at an advantage.

Have only driven V6 Chargers/Challengers but I can't get over how unnecessarily large and boat-like these things are. Handling is not as bad as I expected but it's far from satisfactory. Janky feeling interiors too...

Props to FCA/Stellantis for producing such an old school ICE car in this age. But their refusal to update the platform and interior past the dinosaur ages comes down purely to being cheap.

Lolll as soon as I started reading this I had a feeling the thieves were from Newark. In my neck of the woods these cars are hood favorites. South Central, East LA, and Inland Empire loves these things. You rarely see them in decent areas.

I got both cars challenger and m3 don't really know why this guy is comparing these two side by side there not in the same category never will be. I drive them for different reasons these cars are not in anyway a market competition for each other , road course car to drag strip car. Come to think about it the challenger/charger are a bit stand alone in the new retro market no other manufacturers brought back there (big boat crusiers) no chevelle, nova, old-school 1970 442 cutlass, and so on,,, Pontiac did come out with the gto/caviler a decade plus back but let's honest it don't count. If anything you want to compare a more track (ish) car put the m3 against the mustang or camaro if you want american vs European

Where was the driving taken place? We all know where... (that was my point and why I quoted the other member here when he questioned the driving)

Further my post was a bit tongue in cheek since he was judging (we are friends here) the driving in crowded areas.

I was not talking about the narrator.

Those cars are everywhere here in Austin including Challengers, Mustangs, Camaros and Corvettes. Teslas are not far behind.

Yeah, Texas , the South in general and here in the Bay Area are Muscle Car areas. The Bay is all about muscle cars. Old schools and New.

Yes, the hellcat (charge/challenger) are extremely cheap to lease. I forgot the exact prices but with like nothing down you could lease it for 500 a month.

The Trackhawk on the other hand..........is not

It'll do just as good as an M3 with equal drivers.

None of us here are pros so they'll both perform the same.

Hopefully it's true these M3s can hit 800-900 rwhp on stock motor. It should be faster than a FBO e85 hellcat. Which is my benchmark

Oh yea where all the people that kept on saying the M3 is faster than the hellcat in stock form…???
Idk about faster but maybe run with it?

Autoglory (i think that's the youtube channel) has M4 comp with the JB4 going head to head with redeye's. Not beating them but actually staying with them which is insane.

EDIT: That's why i was saying autotopnl needs better comparison. Why put a manual M3 against a fast shifting auto car? The manual is the slower version. That's why i rather see a comp vs a hellcat. From their perspective.
I agree. However I don't think it would make much of a difference. From a 40 roll the M3 comp has a chance (hellcat very difficult to grab traction) From a 60, it really has no chance. I think the fastest 60-130 from g80 is 9.06. There's hellcats that run slightly under 8s In the same pull. The bulk of them is 8.1-8.2.

That's all I was saying. Not saying hellcat is a better car.. Both different instruments. It's just nice the g80 is 500 pounds lighter and if this car can get to 800-900 rwhp with stock motor and stock turbos. I think it will easily run 60-130 in the mid 4s. Which is what im hoping for.
My buddies G80 M3 Comp ran 8.9 60-130 going -0.95% downhill, my other friends widebody hellcat Charger ran 8.3 60-130 mph going -3.00% downhill (not valid) and typically on valid runs gets 8.7-8.8s. I don't think I know of any bone stock hellcat in the world doing 7's.

Redeye's run 7.7-8.0.

Hellcat is definitely faster up top, but it's 480 rwhp / 3950 lbs against 650 rwhp / 4500 lbs.

Edit: his M3 is RWD

Hellcats used to be that much. $1995 down, $550-650 a month depending on options like sunroof, stripes etc... now they're back to around 700-850 range with the same down, if not a little more.

Yeah the days of the 499 lease is long gone unless one wants to cap reduce the price to get there.

Econ 101 rules.

I will not speak anything on widebody as I literally know nothing about it, like if there's is any additional weight. I know power is the same.

I will say with 100 percent confidence there are a ton of hellcats chargers and challengers running low 8s to 7.9 on 60-130. I personally pulled a 8.2 myself a while back when I was bone stock. If you look at the forum, there are plenty of valid runs in low 8s. Here is one article regarding it.

https://www.hotcars.com/corvette-z06...drag-race/amp/

The red eyes runs 7.6-7.7 when I first read about it. I never stayed tune to it because I was on FBO E85 running 5.7 on 60-130 so it was no longer relevant to me.

My car bone stock ran a 7.7 60-130. But i have a stage 1 aero car (well back then i did) and that plays a HUGE part. Stage 3 aero cars were seeing low 8's.

I believe a stock hellcat can touch a 7.x. When i raced my friends hellcat when we were both stock i beat him but maybe by a car and a half. I do have a manual but i only needed a 3-4 shift to do these runs. Maybe i would've been a bit quicker if i started in 2nd but i didn't want to screw up a 2-3 shift. The LT4 makes a shit ton of low end torque so i could do a 60-130 starting in 3rd.
