As mentioned in this thread about a dozen times now. It appears that the actuator physically (mechanically) cannot move the valve into 100% open position. Even under full throttle, Im not sure its really all the way open.

It seems the valve can be fully opened, but I can't tell if there is really a difference vs partially opened when watching this video. I guess I would have to hear it in person.

That valve switch cost around 300-400. Do the mod instead it’s cheaper.

The valve switch is $199 and the benefit is you can close the valves on demand for late night/early morning departures.

Thats the VSC 2 controller which I am also using and works great. I see no reason to buy another product that is more expensive and basically does the same thing.

If I had the capability to 3D print I could probably make a lot of money by producing an insert that with a central shaft mold that went over the shaft receptor (matching the shape of the shaft) and secured into the opening around the shaft receptor.

Have no idea why he was, either. He was a sharp guy and his posts showed that. I started this thread, and he and I basically worked together to make it what it is and show that the valves were NEVER fully open by the ECM control except for a split second. His excellent pictures of the install he posted shows how foolproof wiring the flaps open can be. The difference is great. Still too quiet for my tastes, but huge improvement. I miss his insight. But in fairness, it's not my forum so someone else makes the rules. Only they know the particulars.

It takes some heavy misbehaving here to get banned and violating the terms of use. I can only guess it was nothing to do with this thread.
