Since more and more people encountered the amplifier stop sale (0065600300), I think it is worth to start a new thread to discuss this problem
Here is the timeline for my M3 6MT: 9/9 Order Received for build week 44 10/12 Production completed, bumped from week 44 to 41 11/8 At NJ port 11/13 Scheduled delivery date, apparently I didn't get it My car is still at the port today and the stop sale is not closed yet. Some members mentioned that the amplifier problem is only a software fix. However, my limited research suggests that it is more likely a hardware issue and here are my reasons: 1. If it is only a software issue, all M3s/M4s produced at the similar time frame should have the same problem. However, some vehicles produced around 10/12 didn't have this stop sale. 2. For a software issue, why can't BMW just resolve it at the factory or at the dealer? Letting the car sit at the VPC doesn't sound like a good solution. 3. My car is in the VPC for over a week, fixing a software issue should not take this long. 4. The amplifier is actually a hardware block Therefore I reached a bad conclusion: the amplifier issue is similar to the RAM or camera stop sale, and we have to wait for the parts indefinitely. I really hope my analysis above is totally wrong and please share more info in this thread. Thanks! |

I have the same code and have been stuck at Brunswick since 11/9. My CA said that it was the amplifier missing and like you said, some folks said software which I find very hard to believe. Will be curious how this progresses and what other folks have to say that chime in.

I have the same code. My car is on the way to Greer from Charleston and shows in transit. Hoping the amp comes in soon. I believe this code is hardware, but I'd love to be wrong.

does it only show up after it gets to the VPC? She is on a ship and at Halifax currently. Scheduled to be at NJ port by this weekend. |

Well this is a bummer — my car was a week 40 build and it's on its way to Baltimore (eta 11/22). I have the same stop sale code. Frustrating to say the least.

My sales advisor hasn't told me whether the work order is opened. I've just been using the recall tool and it still says opened. I posted on another thread that when I called BMW genius, the person actually said there is no remedy for the stop sale which was pretty concerning.
