Build Week 47

Today I was bumped from week 44 to 47. Xdrive comp as well. Went from 41->45->44->47

you're in good company.

To be honest I don't know which are the assumptions to be pushed from a week build to another. There are several orders placed afterm nine with my same optionals maybe that have already been produced. It's strange, because at this point I don't know how they manage the production process; I thought it was due to some optionals, but it's not the case.

So you are just talking to an agent each time? I did that just now, and surprisingly she told me I was scheduled for week 46 rather than 47. I'm sure that won't hold, but that was unexpected.

I was delayed to Week 48 from 42 and yesterday moved back into 112 status. When I called Genius I was told it was scheduled for Week 44 and I don't have a XDrive so maybe there is something with the XDrive parts short?

I toy with the idea of ordering a new M3 exactly the way I want it (my M4 was off the lot, so I had to make some compromises) with individual paint. All of these delays and stop sales are discouraging me. A bird in the hand...

So I have been told/shown that I am week 47 as well, M4CX, TB2. The status has not changed (order received) since I received the build number. Has anyone else with week 47 moved to 'scheduled for production'?

Just curious if the TB2 is a time driver? Or if in fact the X drive is a cause, or if in fact the status does not change until almost the start of the actual week given on the order.

Yes, when I placed my order this past Saturday I was given a production number and told I was week 47. Yesterday mine moved from ORDER RECEIVED to SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION. I called the Genius line today and they said I was bumped up to week 46, as well. Fingers crossed.

Genius told me that my anticipated start of production is 10/31--11/6 (week 45). This means my approx. "build week" is 47, i.e. when production will finish.

This coming week will be a very telling one. Each of the last three times my production date was delayed, I was bumped back to order received status 111 (from scheduled for production 112) the week before production was anticipated to begin. Fingers crossed that I see status 150 "production begins" in the next 7- 14 days versus being moved back to 111.

I assume most everyone else on this thread is in status 112 and in the same boat?

Is there a way to tell your status number without calling BMW genius? Mine is still showing the same “order received”.. and the website isn’t even working. But I don’t see any number with the order status.

Yes, "order received" corresponds to Status 111. "Scheduled for production" corresponds to 112. The link below describes the status nos. for each of the steps you may see on the website.

I just don't know why some orders placed in sept. are on the way to production, and others placed in spring (may and june) are being delayed. How do they manage them?

Anecdotally to me it appears that all orders are being delayed, except maybe for convertibles (G83).
