I didn't see a week 41 Build Thread so here it is! This is for October 11, 2021.

I'm in South Florida and I just got my production number yesterday and CA told me week 41. I waited about 3 weeks for an allocation but the wait was worth it, I got exactly what I wanted instead of settling for a couple pre builts that some local dealers had. I got it at MRSP too with .9% apr.

Does anyone know if there are any incentives for this month? Any loyalty credits? There was $500 last month and I saw $4000 this month but wasn't sure if it was for the m3 or just regular 3 series?


Here's my spec (post yours too):

22' G80 M3 Xdrive (xdrive is way faster)
Black Sapphire Metallic (I love black cars)
826m bi-color wheels (for some contrast)
Fiona Red/Black Full Merino Leather (wow saw it in person and it's stunning)
Carbon fiber interior trim (love the steering wheel in carbon fiber)
Executive Package (a must get)
Driver assistance pro package (self driving which will help when I'm working)
Parking Assist package (parallel parking and the accident camera)
M drive professional (10 stage traction control is a must have for xdrive)
Red calipers (to match the Fiona red)
Front ventilated seats (I'm in Florida, it's a must have)
Laserlight LED lights (love the look)
M Shadowline lights (take away that chrome strip)
Shadowline Trim Deletion (I wanted the chrome exhaust tips, it makes the back pop a bit more)
Moonroof (not a fan of carbon fiber on black cars, it looks grey and it's nice for the winter)
Floating hub caps (looks so cool while driving)
Wheel locks (i wanted them installed for me lol)


I can't wait to get my car! It's the perfect build for me! I have a 21' M340i RWD now and love it, but this car will be something else entirely. I should be able to sell it for close to what I paid since I got a $10k discount a couple months ago. Does anyone else have a week 41 Build? Any guesses on when we will take delivery on the east coast in Florida?

My CA is telling me delivery should be in November for the west coast. I am cautiously optimistic, but won't be surprised if the car is delayed because of the chip shortage. I have to tell myself, that we are in a global pandemic and many people are worse off than me and I should be thankful that I can order such a sweet ride. So I am going to be patient, but it's only been one week, so we'll see how long that lasts.

I have ordered front reflector delete from IND and also have the M Performance carbon fiber side markers on the way.

I still need to get projector lights for all four doors, carbon fiber hood and trunk roundels, the carbon door sills, the carbon floating wheel caps, the M performance mats, and pick out a front lip. Leaning towards stradale designs. Need to go see in person- they're close to my house. I don't want to spend more than $1k on something that'll constantly be in harms way.

Anyone else doing PPF? I'm anal about this so my car will be going from dealer to detail shop for dull wrap and ceramic coating.

The wait continues…

I think west coast build week 41 will see our cars early December. I hope.

Dumb question but how/where were you able to add the steering wheel? Don’t see it listed on the bmw m performance parts as an option. Thanks

Port installed option, not available on the website. Your SA should be able to help you to add to your order.

I got my allocation on Saturday, and Genius told me today that my production number is for a week 44 build.

My SA told me I will get car in October but week 44 sounds right and with the chip shortage and Covid, I will be lucky to see it before Christmas.

Taking delivery in October would be an incredibly optimistic estimate, I think.. I've been hearing it takes at least 6 weeks to reach the dealer once production starts

Also as annoying as waiting is, I feel we should all be thankful we are fortunate enough to be able to afford this kind of car especially in these kind of times. Being annoyed your 90k car delayed is a minor inconvenience. Being homeless, displaced by war or floods, or living paycheck to paycheck is a real issue.

Build week 1 or 52…. Be thankful. You are fortunate.

I work at a dealer and I know about those " port installed Accesories" that just so they can juice some more profit. but at lease you are getting something of value, they could be just charging over sticker instead with no added value.

Not really-
The m performance lip for example is only a couple hundred USD more as a port installed option. If you had it professionally installed anywhere, it'd cost about that. Not to mention, it's convenient and awesome to receive your car how you want it.

I did not- yet. Going to call genius Monday and in the meantime, I check the mybmw website 4 times a day +. Lol

Week 40 started getting updated to Scheduled for Production yesterday. Hopefully we'll see the same updates middle/late next week.
