The only discussions of weight were not negative or implying the car had overthrown is heritage. The takeaways/comments were: OMG, this car is great/amazing, engineering is miles ahead of competitors, gearbox isn't as aggressive as DCT, how does BMW keep building cars that feel like you've driven them for ten years.

I still can't believe people freak out over reviews, let alone forum comments that are so apparently taken out of context.

I think the anti g8x crowd is kind of running out of material with all the good reviews coming out. Still a completely valid opinion obviously that they don't like the car and it isn't for them but now that it's released and there's reviews for it what else can you really say...the whole speculation part is mostly over. The pro g80 crowd is all collecting their cars and talking about features and setups and tunes and whatnot now
Why are there two crowds? Don't we all just want a good car that fits our needs? If we disagree on the car that just means we have different needs.
Agree. People should not feel the need to convert people from their current leaning - whether that is positive on the car or negative on it, ready to buy or waiting for more info (or looking elsewhere).

Both M3/4 looks good on the video, nimble and solid around track, even on wet surface. Good to hear the steering is better and that front traction is really improved from the F8X.

The reviews are good on the G8X, better than its direct competition models in every way as I can see.

Now to decide if I add the carbon breaks on my G80 Xdrive Comp, if someone have them on their F8X let me know if they're worth it.

good thing this generation performs well at least because if it was ugly and slow this forum would be a dumpster fire like when the 335i smoothbrains kept attacking the E9X M3

Well I have a 335i and I have never trolled the E9x M3 forums because I had no interest in them. No hatred for them or any other car out their either. No time and no need for me to enter forums for something I have no interest in. I wish all the haters for the G8x would do the same. Just walk on by.

I just don't understand why people need to enter a form and vent their hatred towards something and/or the people gathered to share their enthusiasm for it. Haters got to hate I guess. Maybe they need to get a life outside of owning a particular car? There is lots to choose from and enjoy in this world. People enjoying a new car has nothing to do with previous cars. Most of us got here by owning a previous car.

If one comes into an enthusiast form and pisses on everything and/or everyone, then they are going to get unfavorable reactions/responses from those who's enjoyment has been interrupted.

Just keep on walking by.

I remember that!!! 2007/2008 was an interesting couple of years for the 335i....especially the first gen, which was a rock solid, over-built performer. The "335i vs. E46/E9X M3" threads were plentiful.

The M5 is clearly the most epic machine I drove since ever. Never I drove one that has such a broad width of abilities, rendering everything so damn easy. Of course the M4c was more fun, since more a handful, but significantly less effective (like he said in the vid: "it wants to kill you")

Hmmm... is it a blessing or a curse? Depends on preference. I could certainly live with a smaller M5.
I've tracked the M5 and it's a good car for its size but it wasn't nearly as fun and an M3 or M2. The instructors even said it was a boat and they were BMW instructors. A very capable boat, but still a boat.
I did several M track days with the m5C and I took my buddies base M5 to the track with him and got some laps in. Man, what a horrible car to track.

335 drivers are still the worst to encounter on the road. Gunshot sounding burbles that make my 3 year old cry, always tailgating, etc.

Maybe it's a NYC thing but it seems like infinity G37 drivers and 335 drivers cause 90% of road rage incidents lol

People freak out easily because of the need to overcompensate for the generally a big step backwards in exterior design.

The car dynamics and performance better be near damn perfect so that the design is less of an issue.

He said this "M3 is on the money" & I think that's all I need to know. This was performed with a RWD version on a wet track & he was impressed with chassis composure & front end grip. Can't wait to this the G80 platform each others on the track once the AWD version is available.
