Officially locked in my deal and finance terms today with my dealership so I don't have to do any of that when it arrives. Decided to pivot from a lease and went with 60-months financing. Can't beat the 0.9% financing and the lease rates and residual what garbage. $125/month more and have 36 months I will owe far less than what the residual buyout would be.

Can't wait for delivery soon!

Did you sign anything? I don't want to sign to paying money on a car I haven't seen yet. I need to inspect the car first. Weird but dealing with almost $100,000 here lol

I just did the credit app, locked in the 0.9% interest rate, agreed on the down payment, payment terms / length, refused the extended warranty-wheel protection-etc, and have everything set in docusign. When I arrive to pick up my car I just give them my CC for my down payment, sign electronically, and then can drive off. Agreed with you and I didn't sign anything other than my credit app until I make sure the car arrives and is in perfect condition.

Sounds good. I'll probably do that this week too. Last thing I want to do is sit around at a dealership when the car that's been driving me insane for months is right in front of me lol

Congrats to all the folks that have gotten their car. Its been torture for me, my car was at the port in Germany on 10/26 and still has not arrived in Charleston. I was suppose to do PCD but may miss the cut off date for 2021. I currently do not have a stop sale but I do not even know if after going through VPC if it will generate one for RAM.

Crazy times, would have never imagined trying to spend this kind of money would have been this difficult, but I guess I am not alone.

Looks we will have one additional day of delays. The Pleiades Leader has now left San Diego and is in route to Long Beach. It looks like a one day stop over there and will now be hitting Port Hueneme on 12/3. I guess in the big picture what is one more day at this point. I am just glad the ship is state side on the West coast now.

Luckily a glance at marinetraffic indicates Long Beach (which is super backed up with container ships) has no contention for vehicle carriers.

I looked at the satellite map for the port in Google Maps and saw where all the cars are parked, then in marinetraffic saw no vehicle carriers docked there. I also did a quick survey of waiting ships outside and didn't see any vehicle carriers there either.

I think the backup is mostly for container ships based on those that are waiting.

The vehicle carriers have retractable ramps built into the ship, so they're able to dock in more places. Container ships can only dock where there are gantry cranes, which limits where they can offload.

Pleiades Leader is making its way to Port Hueneme! Pretty impressed it actually stayed on course and only stayed at Long Beach for a day.

Let's hope we have no carrier shortages 😃

Mines finally arrived at the Port at Charleston. Literally took almost a month from Bremerhaven to Charleston. It was on the ship since 11/5...

Watching Pleiades Leader idling on the coast of Oxnard beyond its reported ETA is killing me. I wonder how much of the process (e.g. ship unloading, transporting to VDC, VDC work, transport to dealer) happens on the weekend.

Driving me crazy as well. Out of all the ports it’s the least crowded, but I think it might be the smallest too which is why it’s sitting out there. I’m pretty sure all of the things that need to happen will happen regardless of weekday or weekend. In a perfect world with no stop sales, it’d be safe to say you’d have the car 2 days after it’s unloaded (subject to how long transportation takes from port to dealership.

My dealership (Bay Area) told me the car takes about up to a month to get to the dealer once it arrives at VPC recently 😔

My car is officially off loaded and my status switched back to at the port. Feels good to have the car on the ground in the US.
