Hey all,

In iDrive 7, I was able to adjust the layout of the instrument cluster and have my tire pressure shown on the left hand side with the boost gauge and temps shown on the right hand side (or something else like my media).

For whatever reason, I cannot figure out how to do this on iDrive 8. In fact, I can’t change anything on the right hand side of the screen. I can only change the info displayed to the left side of the cluster. The right side is basically empty unused space.

In iDrive 7, I could actually display the tire pressures on both the left and right hand side of the instrument cluster at the same time.

Any help would be appreciated.

The screenshot looks like it's taken from a video and not your own dash, so I'm not sure how you have it set up. Are you using "reduced" viewing mode? Press the button on your steering wheel that (I think) look like three lines and it'll let you toggle through the display options for your dash.

the screenshot is from my old car with idrive 7 showing how you can have modular info on both the left and right side of the screen

i've tried different layouts in idrive 8 but cant find any way to customize the adjust the right-hand side of the screen

You can’t , you only get 1 custom element on idrive8.

Damn those bezels are huge on ID8. It looks like one of those digital picture frames I had like 15 years ago.

I noticed this option is now gone in ID7 as well. I used to have tire pressures on right and engine info on left. Since a recent software update, I can no longer configure anything for the rt hand widget. Can other ID7 users with latest software confirm?

Have you tried using the BC stalk to configure your widgets in iDrive 7?
