Best daily stance for a g80?
So since the release of this front spring option from Eibach we have been selling them out non stop. This Eibach spring set up is designed to ride and feel just like OEM but will drop and delete the drastic arch gap you get from factory.
One of the biggest faux pas with the G80 specifically is the HUGE arch gap but with this spring and the R44 stance kit we have put together, you get the thickness and clean look that the car deserves. We pair the front springs up with the 12mm (front) spacers and 15mm in the rear and I think if you are a daily driver and not really someone who wants to go for that "slammed" look, but wants to improve the stance this is the option for you. Fitting these is super simple and all in with an experienced garage should only take around 1:30 to 2 hours to get fitted in. Drop myself a message today and if you are a USA customer we have 1 set available for free shipping. |

I have a hard time believing mismatched front and rear springs is good for the suspension geometry. But hey, to each his own. I personally would opt for a matched set.

If they’re the same rate but just slightly shorter, the car should drive exactly the same.

I’ve had mine for a year now with no issues. It rides and handles like stock but with an OEM+ look. Definitely lessens the front gap and the stance is more even front to rear.

Is that the case with the eibachs? Haven’t heard that to be true.

Explanation below: Quote:
OEM heights with uneven gap is actually balanced, in fact BMW M cars are touted for it's near 50/50 weight distribution. Lowering the front more gives the car a forward rake, ruining that engineered advantage. Under hard braking conditions, that means more weight on the front than normal, which can lead to the rear end to be loose. Under accelerating conditions, you can actually lower potential traction with less weight over the rear wheels. On the street, for "daily stance" as the thread is titled, this is fine. While this is not a "performance stance", if you are braking that hard and accelerating that fast to be competitive on a road coarse or drag strip, then you are not really looking for a "daily" setup. So, technically, it will NOT drive exactly the same, but you will likely not even notice it if you are just street driving.
