If they cannot adjust, they will do install and go with standart setting I would assume. When you have a car then you would need to pay probably alignment costs, i think it was like $220 (?) and they should follow your ask. If not… I would do alignemnt in other place.

I was under the impression that the port installers would perform an alignment? They aren't going to deliver a car that pulls to the side...

I don't have the patience to search all 37 pages of this thread again though.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t? The car was aligned when it was built. Their job is to install the springs and put it back to factory spec. I can’t imagine delivering a car with a bad alignment. Although, my Civic Type R had the worst alignment from the factory.

I wouldn’t think so. Unless it was a special request that was agreed to in a contract. And I don’t even know if that’s possible, or how you would even go about. If you had a contact at the port, you may have a chance, but, I don’t see any other way.

I can't see anywhere online whether part # 31305A2D979 is or is not compatible, only that the G83 M4 is not.
For those that are interested or end up here in the future, part number for OEM BMW M Performance G81 M3 Touring HAS suspension lowering Kit is 31305A87C79

I will correct myself.
What I meant is that for sure they can do alignemnt :-) but I doubt they will do anything unique like more of the track alignment.

I would be positivly surprised if they do max out on negative camber and set the toe to zero as example

Sorry for confusion.

Love your setup!

2 questions.

1.Any rubbing up front/ And could you go to 15mm spacers in front without rubbing?
2.would you say this is a “level” drop, making the front and rear the same height? Love the look!

You “should” get an alignment with any suspension adjustments. And from listening to my installer, he had to readjust my rear springs after he drove it, and he had to remove the inside lower control arms to take the tension off the rear springs, even with the car in the air. So, after that, it definitely needs to be aligned.

Thank you sir! To answer your questions:

1. No rubbing up front but I read reports of rubbing with even 10mm spacers up front so I had the fender liners trimmed just in case. I could definitely run a 15mm up front and I plan to switch to 15mm all around once these Pzeros wear out and I swap them for PS4Ss.

2. In person it is relatively even at eye level but I would say the front still rides slightly higher due to the size of the front fender well. To be fair this is as even as it’s going to get with the MP HAS. I personally hate the reverse rake “dumped” rear look so I knew I was going to max out the front from the get go. I also wanted the adjustability of the factory EDC without sacrificing ride comfort but if I had to do it again I’d get KWV3 coilovers and call it a day. I may do just that on the next one lol.

Appreciate the info. This is me as well. Going to have my car all the way down with the m suspension. And want the rear to look as even as possible. So will tell the shop to set it as same height as yours.

Still waiting for car lol. But ordered 15mm front and 12mm rear spacers. Was concerned it’ll rub. But good to know. I don’t mind trimming a bit

Curious if you got your car and how the m perf suspension worked out!

Car was delayed until Week 49. Hit status 151 today (exterior body assembly). Will take delivery late January or so. Will post pics and all that then...

Yeah, that shape of the rear fender makes the rear look lower. Its a little bit of an illusion. The G82 doesn't look like it sits as low, because the fenders are shaped different.

Where have people been ordering the M Performance HAS Kit from? I see on the MP catalogue it's like 1800$ so wasnt sure if people have found it cheaper elsewhere. I was hoping to get the dealer to install it so it would be covered but 1800$ for what is essentially lowering springs is a tough pill to swallow.

There's a Euro site called Baum something or other that usually has it. You should do it. That Boston Green G82 will look so much better with it. I'd throw on the Gold CS wheels too for real pop!

Yeah i think so too. The CS wheels are a bit out of my price range but i was thinking about doing the APEX VS-5R wheels in Bronze. I think it would look killer.

You can get the CS in gold for around 4100 shipped to you. That’s not that bad.
